Actress Kim Cattrall only agreed to reprise her role as sassy Samantha in the new Sex And The City Movie if she received a substantial wage - because she was desperate for the money.

The 51-year-old star had no desire to return to Sex and the City following the end of the TV series in 2004, but admits her need for a secure future led to her change of mind.

Cattrall says, "It's nice to step into Samantha's skin again, but I'm only doing the film for the money. Samantha is very dear to me and I have such a wonderful time playing her, but I can't say more for the experience than wanting financial security. We did it, and we did it well. But it was always about the money. When I made a stand about not being in the movie because I thought the money was terrible, there was a backlash of very negative things from some of my co-stars. The role is very much a double-edged sword."

Sounds like she didn't manage her money well (her earnings from S&C). She seems so dumb to me.

I think most actors aren't honest... refreshing to see Kim state "I did it for the money", the money is why most sequels or adaptations are made in the first place, how many people honestly can say "I did Transformers to make an artistic statement about how machines could rule the world", bull, you did it for the cash.

Kim Cattrall was great in Sex And The city--so, whatever reason she is doing the movie is fine by me.
