During October, I filled several job applications at different stores for a seasonal job. Some of them have called me for interviews, and 2 of them have already offered me jobs. But there is a problem: the store I really want to work for told me today that they will be calling me during the next week for a second interview. The stores that offered me jobs told me to drop by on Monday to sign papers and for training. What should I do? Wait for the 2nd interview at the other store or go on and work for one of the stores that offered me jobs? I really want to work at that particular store so waiting for the 2nd interview is a possibility. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks and sorry for the long post :)

Gosh...that's a tough one. Do the prospects look pretty good that you'll get hired at the store you want to work at most?

And how badly do you need to start working? Can you afford to hold out for the one you really want, and can you afford it if you wait and the other two fill the positions with someone else and then you don't get the one you held out for either? A second interview is always a good sign but it certainly doesn't mean it's a done deal. If you can afford it, I'd wait for the second interview and see if you can get the one you really want. If you really can't and you need to start working, well then...

I am looking for a seasonal job to earn some extra $$ during my christmas vacation. The two stores that offered me jobs are clothing stores; the job I want is at a boutique that is a bit more upscale than the other two. I called the boutique on Friday to ask them if they had evaluated my interview. They said they will call me for a 2nd interview during this next week, but they couldn't tell me on which day. That boutique is my dream job, since it opened I've always dreamed and visualized myself working there. I hadn't even considered for a seasonal job, but a voice inside me told me to leave a resume there, and 2 weeks later they called me for an interview. :)
dawsongirl and bingbangbaby, thanks for the help :)

I guess then I might wait and see what happens. You wouldn't want to be miserable in those other jobs if you don't absolutely need the money, and you may be if you think how you'd rather be working at the boutique.

That's what I'm afraid of. What if accept one of the other jobs and then later I receive the call from the boutique?? I can't imagine saying no to them :(
