And it's not a line, but I love the episode where Lucy is lost on the subway train with that loving cup on her head. :rotflmao: When she finally finds out that she lost her veil and people can see that loving cup, she tries to hide it by reading that newspaper then covers her head with it. One of my favorite episodes ever. :rotflmao:

Fred: "Or we'll sue you!"
Ricky: "Yeah well, we'll see who's gonna sue who."

I don't remember that much from The Lucy Show (or was it Here's Lucy?), but I do seem to remember what I'm inclined to think is a takeoff from "The Court Room." Lucy is threatening to sue Mr. Mooney [and how did they ever come up with his name?] and their conversation goes something like this:

Lucy: ...I'm gonna sue!
Mooney: Sue?
Lucy (affirming): Sue!
Mooney: Sue who?
Lucy: Sue you!
Mooney: Ooh, noo!

When Lucy and Ethel get their CQ (charm quotient) done. "Lovey" says to Lucy 'your powder leaves your skin with a wierd unnatural look". Lucy says "I'm not wearing powder"

Gee-whiz, I can't decide! There are so many lines that just make me laugh-out-loud .. but if I had to choose, here's the first that comes out of the top of my head -

Every time he says "Oh for corn sake" it cracks me up! I've never heard anyone besides Fred say that, but I say it sometimes!! People look at me funny, or they laugh and say that's what Fred Mertz used to say!

And the way he calls Ethel "Honey bunch" is hilarious in his deep, gruff voice!!! LOL!!!

Ricky: "Listen, Fred. I've got an awful problem on my hands." Fred: "You should've thought of that before you married her." Ricky: "Look, this is no joke."

My all-time favorite Lucy line is used in just about every episode..."I have a plan!".

Lucy always says "Oh honestly"! After somebody says something or after something happens that annoys her. Not really a funny line, but an old expression. You don't hear people say that anymore. Like 'Oh for heavens sake" is another one you don't hear much anymore My mom always used to say that! I think Oh honestly is equivalent to how nowadays we say "Whatever" after someone annoys us!

Fred: "She said my mother looks like a weasel." Lucy: "Ethel, apologize." Ethel: "I'm sorry your mother looks like a weasel."

Ricky: "Lucy's actin' crazy." Fred: "Crazy for Lucy, or crazy for ordinary people?"

"If I didn't dye my hair, I'm sure by now my roots would be snow white!" -- Lucy to Ethel, after returning the Cadillac/Pontiac mash-up from the body shop in "Lucy Learns to Drive," airing on Me-TV this morning!

Ethel: "This is that new Italian haircut!"

Fred: "On you, it looks like 'Life...with Luigi'."



Fred: "Ethel, if you were meant to have a fur coat, you'd have been BORN with one!"


Ricky: "WHA HOPPENED?!?!?!??"
