It is interesting to note that Frank Nelson and Mary Jane Croft appeared in an episode together before they were cast as Ralph and Betty Ramsey.
They first appeared together in "Return Home From Europe" in the final episode of season five, and then portrayed the Ramseys in Connecticut a half season later.
This is nothing earth-shattering, just some trivia! :)

That reminds me. I was reading something recently online that claimed that Lucille Ball and Gale Gordon first appeared together on radio, not in My Favorite Husband, but 10 years before that -- I guess on The Phil Baker Show -- in 1938!

I can't seem to find anything on that. Lucy didn't mention it in her book. I would like to look into it! I do know that Gale Gordon was the only person to appear with Lucy in every show she did from "My Favorite Husband" until the end.

and Frank Nelson was doing "ILL" at the same time he was doing "THE JACK BENNY SHOW".

Oh Frank was great, stands out in every single show he ever did, yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss especially on the Benny show.
