I used to love reading them when I was younger. I had such a huge collection of the books. I see some girls still like to read them. I think they are great books for preteen and young teen girls to read.

I loved them too! A lot of my greatest book memories involve the Babysitters' Club :) I think my favorite book of the series was when Dawn thought her house was haunted :) I should search for that one and read it again :)

I never read the books, but I do remember watching the TV series on Disney Channel and I still have the movie on VHS. :)

I do!! I used to watch the TV series, too. We didn't get Disney back then, so I used to borrow the videos from the library. I still have all the books in our attic. I think those books are prob. a big part of why I still love to read today.

Oh yeah...I was even in the fan club. I was upset whenever Mary Ann and Logan had problems! lol

No. There are no more new BSC books. :( When I heard that, it was like the end of an era. Although I'm sure a lot of the girls who grew up with the books will share them with their daughters one day. I know I certainly will.

i loved those books! I'm pretty sure i still have all of them in my attic somewhere, I also still have the videos!

I used to love them when I was in grade school I was so close to having all of them it wasnt event funnny, but then 3 years ago we moved and downsized and my mom sold them all, I was so mad at her, she sold the VHS movie too. :mad:

I remember Sleepover Friends and Sweet Valley. I liked them too, but the BSC girls were my favorite.

Who was everyone's favorite baby-sitter? I liked Stacey the best.

^ Mary Anne was the one I related to most - except I didn't (and still don't) have a Logan of my own. :(

I always sort of liked Kristy, b/c her real name was Kristin (spelled differently than mine, but it was still the same name! lol). But of course there was something about each of the girls I really liked.

:lol: I liked her for that reason too. I even got people to call me Kristy for awhile. (No one's called me that in years.) Plus, she was a tomboy like me.

The last "regular" book Wikipedia lists is #131, "The Fire at Mary Ann's House." That came out in May of '99. After that there was a spinoff of sorts called Baby Sitter's Club Friends Forever that seems like it closed out the storylines. I'm not sure, though, b/c I stopped reading long before that. Now I kind of wish I hadn't, hehe.

Gosh, I was obsessed! I began with the Babysitters Club Little Sister books (with Karen) and then graduated to the older ones. I was about 9 when I first started reading them and I remember thinking '13' was sooo old. I really liked Claudia because she was the 'trendiest' :) I was a member of a book club at school and every month I got the next 3 books in the series. I had TONS. Plus the special ones Ann M Martin wrote; like when they go on Ski trips and to California. My mom gave them all to a second hand bookstore years ago; I wish I still had them, I'm 20 now, but I think I'd still love them now as much as I did when I was younger and thought 13 was OLD. ;)

Claudia was my favorite too! She loved to read and ate junk food! Just like me!:rock: I loved this description of her: Claudia eats a whole bunch of junk food, but her face is always creamy flawless porcelain. I wish that could happen to me! I wish I could eat a whoile bunch of junk food and have my face be flawless!
