one of the most talked about albums of the year is about to drop. But are you getting it or not?

Gimme More is a bit of a guilty pleasure, but HELL NO is my choice. I don't think she needs to be enabled right now.

I'll buy it when Judas Priest replaces Rob Halford with Nick Carter. Deal?

I skimmed through Brit's cd on AOL.com (you can hear the whole thing for free), it isn't that bad but I refuse to give her one dime. I normally like electronic ***** dance stuff (it isn't that different than Madonna's last album), but giving a penny to her is against my principle. There are many other artists out there that work 100 times harder than she does, who won't half-ass a live performance, or do a video where they're tweaked out and dancing around a stripper pole, and actually KNOW THEY'RE RELEASING A NEW ALBUM (YA'LL, lol).

The album is surprisingly VERY GOOD. In my honest opinion, it's right up there with the latest releases by Kanye, the Arcade Fire, and Amy Winehouse as one of the best CD's of the year. All killer, no filler.

Now will I buy it?... Maybe. She's obviously not even making an effort to appear as if she cares about the album. All I want is a fierce music video for the second single. If she delivers that, then I'll buy it.

Anyhow, here are some the highlights from the album:

"Gimme More"
"Break the Ice"
"Heaven on Earth"
"Get Naked (I Got a Plan)"
"Freakshow"
"Toy Soldier"
"Ooh Ooh Baby"
"Perfect Lover"
"Why Should I Be Sad?"

well, if you're gonna do upbeat dance music and you're over 20, you have to do what Madonna did with her last album. Max Martin type of music only works if you're 17, I could never hear Kylie or J. Lo using him at their age.

So is her album title some kind of commentary on her sobriety, or lack thereof? ;) :D

According to Billboard, The Eagles new CD knocked Britney out of her spot. :jig:

Dean Winchester

while I only think the Eagles are "okay", this was quite amusing and deserving. Britney has been a joke all during this era and she got what was coming to her by missing #1. I am curious to see how the album will do in subsequent weeks, unless Britney turns around and gets into gear, I forsee this album dropping from sight like "Glitter", "American Life" and "20 Y.O." did and only wind up selling in the 600-700k vicinity. She opened with about as many copies as 20 Y.O. did last year, and that wound up selling 640,000 total.
