They usually only do that to the Fresh Prince. Home Improvement and George Lopez don't get it, even when it's a standard end theme song.

They've done that with 'Full House' as well. Usually, that show just has generic end credits, but there have been a few eps with tags, particularly in later seasons.

Yep. ABCFAMILY shows scenes from their former ABC shows, that other networks don't show. But they do have those annoying cuts in the middle of scenes, no ending credits, and the horrible advertisements at the bottom of the screen.

Nick at Nite probably won't air the full theme song, but we will see the ending credits, and only get 1 commercial break in the middle of the episode, then later before the ending credits. They will make a split screen with the closing credits, but that won't be all the time. Remember, in the middle/later years of the show, there's always tag scenes, while the credits roll. Nick at Nite will definitely air those.

I'm going to try to record the entire series from Nick at Nite. I started to record the show from ABCFAMILY, but I hate the editing, and I knew it was coming to Nick at Nite. I can't wait!

Is FM still going to air an ABC Family? I hope so because I don't trust N@N. They will air a show for a couple of months if it does not do well as FP they may cancel it. Family Matters is coming in March of 2008

With the N going 24/7, there will be plenty of room for Fresh Prince to dominate over there. I can really see Family Matters being the new smash hit for the network. Lets hope they treat it right and launch it right. I can also see this being aired on Noggin for the kids.

Earlier, Someone said ABC Family will still air on ABC Family however this isn't the case. FM ends it's long run on ABC Family February 29th. The permiere date for N@N will be up tomorrow!

All of this long time that they have known about Family Matters comming to the network they could have advertised it then. I was wondering why ABC Family hasn't been showing their episodes in order. All Nick at Nite cares about is FP and I am sick of it.

This is incredible news! I was having trouble waiting until June because the old tapes I found ran out recently. Plus, torrents don't work too well. Now I can further delay the watching of "House, M.D." that my friend, who hates FM, has been begging me to watch. Sounds like its time to get another VCR and a bunch of tapes and begin my adventure of archiving my final sitcom. All the rest of my shows are on DVD luckily.

Santa Monica, Calif. – May 6, 2008 – Nick at Nite will add Family Matters, a laugh-out-loud hit series for the whole family, to its sitcom line-up this summer, launching the show with a seven–hour marathon on Sunday, June 29 at 9:00 p.m., before it lands in its regular time period, Sunday through Thursday at 8:30 p.m. & 11:00 p.m.; and Friday & Saturday at 12 a.m. (all times ET/PT). Family Matters, which ran for nine seasons (1989-98) on broadcast networks ABC and CBS, catapulted Jaleel White’s archetypal nerd-next-door, Steve Urkel, into the pop culture, and the actor captured three Image Awards for his portrayal. Having aired for 215 episodes, Family Matters is the second-longest running U.S. comedy with a predominantly African-American cast, surpassed only by The Jeffersons.

“Family Matters is a really funny, terrific show filled with life lessons about the value of friends and family,” said Pete Danielsen, Executive Vice President, Programming, Nickelodeon & MTVN Kids and Family Group. ”It’s the kind of show that connects with people of all ages and has special appeal for families, which makes it a perfect addition to the Nick at Nite schedule.”

In this long-running comedy – a spinoff of Perfect Strangers via wisecracking elevator operator Harriette Winslow – nosy, good-hearted Steve Urkel pesters and wreaks havoc on his neighbors, the Winslows of suburban Chicago. Ultra-smart and socially clueless, the bespectacled, irksome nerd always arrives full of good intentions and inventions that backfire. Dressed in high-rise pants held up by suspenders, he clumsily barges into the Winslows’ home – and into their hearts. His shenanigans particularly annoy Harriette’s (Jo Marie Payton) husband Carl (Reginald VelJohnson). The gruff cop is a loving father to rebellious Eddie (Darius McCrary), cute little Judy (Jaimee Foxworth) and smart aleck Laura (Kelly Shanygne Williams) – with whom Urkel is utterly in (unrequited) love. Harriette and Carl also open their home to Carl's feisty mother Estelle (Rosetta LeNoire) and Harriette's sister, aspiring writer Rachel (Telma Hopkins) and her rambunctious son Richie (Bryton McClure).

Eventually, when Urkel's parents move to Russia without him, he, too, moves in with the Winslows, as does Richie’s tough, streetwise pal 3J. As the series progresses, Urkel invents a multitude of incredible gadgets with which he breaks windows, furniture and Carl’s patience. And just when Urkel’s ever-annoying mishaps seem unbearable, the Winslows and friends are ever-endeared by his good intentions and upbeat disposition.

Family Matters was part of ABC’s TGIF from 1989 until 1997 before it became part of the CBS “Block Party” lineup from 1997-98. The series was produced by Miller-Boyett Productions in association with Lorimar Television in the first two seasons. In seasons 3-9, it was produced by Bickley-Warren Productions & Miller-Boyett Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. Executive producers are Thomas L. Miller and Robert L. Boyett, who developed the show; creators William Bickley and Michael Warren (seasons 2-7) and David W. Duclon (seasons 3-8).

I'm excited about it coming on! Finally something interesting to watch when I get off of work at night. I just hope Nick@Nite don't overdo it with showing the show too much and smothering us with marathons almost everyday. That's how I got tired of Fresh prince..

WTF... the same episode that aired at 11 last night is airing again right now. :rolleyes: So they skip Brown Bombshell but air this episode again?!

I guess that explains why The Urkel Who Came to Dinner is listed on Saturday at Midnight still.

Their official grids listed this, but I was hoping it would be a mistake...idiots. Oh well. But yeah, they could have easily aired #63 Blonde Bombshell instead of skipping it (unless they are saving it for a stunt...but even if they were, they just wasted 2 plays on #67 Love & Kisses since it aired 24 hours later).

Effective tonight (Monday, August 11), Drake & Josh has replaced Family Matters Mon-Thurs at 8:30pm.

Damn, we will miss the new episode at 8:30pm tonight, but all other nights 8:30 is an encore anyway from the previous night.

Nick at Nite is airing the movie The American Mall this Saturday (August 23) from 10pm-12am, so the Saturday schedule has been shifted a bit for this Saturday only with George Lopez airing 12-1am instead of Family Matters. No other slots will be affected on this night.

Also a switcharoo, Fresh Prince 3-5am on Friday night this week has been replaced by Roseanne. Likewise, Roseanne 3-6am on Sunday night has been replaced by Fresh Prince.

If I were to guess, they want to start the fall off with the series all over again with strong Urkel episodes. I think this time they will air all skipped episodes, (but holiday episodes will be skipped) and go through each season then come back to season one after that.

I got an explanation from Nick at Nite. They haven't made edits on them yet:

Season one and most of season nine has not been edited yet and must go through our standards department in order to be cleared on our air. Once we do that, we will begin to air those episodes. I do not know when that will be yet.

That really sucks - I was looking forward to seeing season 1 again. Season 9, I could care less about, but I haven't seen season 1 episodes in a long time.

And how did they get through the first cycle of seasons 2-8 that quickly? The show just premiered 2 months ago, and they're already into their second cycle?

That sounds like a lazy excuse. So Seasons 2-8(all but 45 episodes of the series) are edited but they aren't? WTF? They acquired the show 2 years ago also, it's not like they haven't had time.
