A waste of time and such an annoyance.

I agree, I am not a fan of clips shows.

I loved the South Park clip show episode though, because it was a parody of clip shows, by airing so early in it's run and also wildly reimagining things that happened on the show

I agree.They are not worth watching(they have a flimsy,weak-sometimes VERY flimsy and weak-- plot,and the episodes that the clips came from,are FAR better).The only worth watching(with a pretty interesting plot)was the "Green Acres" episode "The Man for the Job".

Friends probably had the worst ones... The One With Mac And C.H.E.E.Z. anyone?

As for Friends, I didn't care too much for The One With The Vows. As much as I loved Chandler and Monica's relationship, they were better off at the time just rerunning "TOW Everyone Finds Out," that is where a lot of the footage came from on that episode. TOW Where Everyone Finds Out is my favorite episode, but at the same time I didn't need a rehash of it like that.

Though I thought the time Bewitched did it was the worst. They basically just replayed the entire episode "A Vision of Sugar Plums" that way.

I don't mind them TOO much, except for one Golden Girls ep. where most of the flashbacks seemed to come from the same episode. I like the times when they showed "new" flashbacks, though, instead of just clips, better.

I can think of one instance where it worked well. In the pilot episode of Bewitched, Sam and Darrin go to a dinner party hosted by his ex. The ex is mean and spiteful to Sam. In Season 4, they meet the ex again, who hasn't changed. They actually showed a clip from the pilot, to re-establish Sam's wariness. It especially helped that the clip was in b&w (the first two seasons were), and in Season 4, the show was by then in color.

I loved the episode "Rites of Spring" where they were deciding how to improve their appearances and had the sequences at the hair salon, and the gym.

And "Three on a Couch" where their contstant bickering lead them to see a therapist.

Those kind of flashbacks ruled.

I don't mind the flashbacks.
