LOS ANGELES - Charlize Theron and Jessica Alba regularly find themselves among the stars dubbed sexiest in the world.

But which stars unfortunately find themselves at the other end of the beauty spectrum?

The folks at Maxim magazine have revealed their list of the world’s unsexiest women, which includes ladies of the big screen, small screen and the concert stage.


The list, featured in the latest edition of Maxim, dubs “Sex and the City” star Sarah Jessica Parker as the No. 1 Unsexiest Woman Alive, claiming Parker was the “least sexy woman in a group of very unsexy women.”

Embattled songstress Amy Winehouse found herself in the second spot on the list, with the magazine citing her “translucent skin” and “rat’s nest mane.”

A “cold bedside manner and boyish figure” landed “Grey’s Anatomy” star Sandra Oh in the third spot on the list.

Meanwhile, the Material Girl finds herself fourth on the list, as Maxim dubs Madonna “unsexy” for her “self-righteous bellyaching and rapid postnuptial deterioration.”

The magazine even went as far as to call Madonna “Willem Dafoe with hot flashes.”


And last but not least, coming in at the No. 5 spot on the dubious list is someone who is no stranger to her fair share of recent criticism — Miss Britney Spears.

Contributing to Brit’s “unsexiness,” the magazine cites her two kids, two ex-husbands, a slight weight gain and “losing the ability to perform.”

Maxim, is of course, entitled to their opinion, but I strongly disagree with it. I wouldn't call Sarah Jessica one of the prettiest women alive--but unsexy--that's a big stretch, IMO. And I am sure there are many guys who feel otherwise. However, when I think of blonde beauties Heather Locklear and Barbara Eden come to mind--and of course the iconic Marilyn--although MM was way before my time.

The other 3 S&TC gals unsexy? A very hard sell to me. Kim Cattrall as Samantha exudes sexiness and Kirsten Davis (Charlotte) is quite pretty. Cynthia Nixon is attractive too, but not so on-screen as the hard ass Miranda.

And why do we even have to call out "unsexiness?" These women's level of beauty is already high compared to your average Jo, but we're going to nit-pick anyway and find ways that they're "unsexy." And worse yet, for a couple of them we're going to pick things that are natural occurences or they are endowed with naturally (translucent skin, boyish figure, slight weight gain, hot flashes). Nice. Way to further screw up our preteen and teenage girls. I hate this kind of stuff. :(

Sandra Oh and her "boyish figure"...ok, I realize we are talking abt Maxim here, a magazine that I subscribe to and I realize their standards of beauty is what too many men (and women) unfortunately believe in. I could pick apart Sarah Jessica Parker and that rather large chin of hers, but if we all looked the same, what would set us apart? Sandra Oh doesn't have 44 DD breasts, but she is a very exotic looking woman who doesn't fit the norm of what we have been used to seeing on television. If you seen the movie SIDEWAYS, it co-starred Sandra Oh, you can easily see the sexiness ooze out of her in many ways. There are far too many females trying to replicate the look of "the perfect face and body" and believe me, it is not always beautiful.

Unsexiest? Is that a nice way of saying ugliest? ;)
