I know this is probably talked about way too much - - but I just can't help it. When looking at pictures of Joyce and John working (not acting) in John Ritter: of sound, mind, and body......I just know by the way they looked at each other ----that they were more than just friends. Take a look....

They were both great actors--they can make certain gestures and looks appear very real when they're not.

I agree. They were just friends who were very affectionate people. And besides if they did had a relationship, the tabloids would have been all over it. :)

Their connection in real life was apparently more mental than anything else, at least for the duration of the show..

Ritter: "I must say that Joyce is one of the best physical comics I've ever worked with. We could throw each other around without hurting each other. And I always knew she'd be there to catch me. I always knew I could trust her."

Dewitt: "...you occasionally work with someone you can communicate with nonverbally. ... you can feel what the other person is thinking or how they are going to move ... John and I were like that." ... "that's how we played it, in the silence."
