I think Jack liked her, obviously not half as much as Lana liked Jack, but he was so used to being the chaser. Lana was always hitting on Jack and I don't want to say it scared him or anything, but to some guys, it's a huge turnoff.

Another thing which I never really thought about, is that if Jack had dated Lana, he might have gotten thrown out of the apt. since Furley was always chasing after Lana and Jack was supposed to be 'gay' so maybe he was afraid Furley would find out.

I wonder what became of Lana? The last episode she appeared in was A Black Letter Day.She dumped her drink on Jack and ran off and never was scene again.

Yeah, I was trying to remember, I knew there was an episode where he dated an older woman. So, it can't be the "older woman" excuse for Jack. He just preferred a particular type of woman and Lana being desperate and clingy was just a turn-off as Monika stated on her post.

Could it be she wore extensions of some sort, because if you really look at her hair in the first season, she didn't have so much hair. When she really gets blonde, all of a sudden she can make three ponytails??? How can that be?

I do know Suzanne Somers did a lot of bleaching, but I'm not sure if she wore a hairpiece or extensions of some sort to make all those ponytails. That's a good question!

From the beginin' she was all over Jack. Jack didn't want to be her male escort, 'cause the girls would lose all respect for him. Once he was sayin' no from the beginin', I don't think anythin' would change once she moved in to the apartment complex. First impressions matter somewhat. She also told him in the beginin' that she'd had three husbands and none of them satisfied her. That is a huge red flag right there, that she's never satisfied. Plus, I guess she's been divorced a lot, so if she can never make it work with anyone, that's another red flag. It would be a matter of time, 'till Jack met the same fate as the other husbands. Not that he wanted to get married anyway, but she'd probably just end up leavin' him. She just has too many "issues".

That's probably why they chose her, because she looks like the kind of woman that Jack wouldn't go for. Had they chosen a prettier lady, than it would not make sense for Jack to not "go for it". :lol:

Here's an interesting fact - Ann Wedgeworth and Jordan Charney played husband and wife on Another World back in the late 60s/early 70s and even headed up AW's spinoff Somerset when it debuted in 1970.
