Ok, so we all know that lifetimes contract for unsolved mysteries is up at the end of 2007. So... I'm wondering how long after Jan. 1, 2008 will it be until we see some unsolved mysteries action. I wonder if CM already has a network lined up and everything to go, but just can't release the information yet. It would be very nice to see it early into the new year. Any info?

Are you getting any "Unsolved Mysteries action" now? Because I haven't seen it on Lifetime's schedule in a long time. If it's still on Lifetime as of right now, please tell me when! Thanks!

No unfortunately its not airing on any of Lifetime's channels. They took it off Lifetime Real Women a few months back. No word on if or when it will be back on there.

Maybe Mysterysolver or anyone else associated with the show could tell us? :)
Anyway, it should be noted that just because Lifetime's contract with UM expires in 2008 doesn't necessarily mean that another network will start airing it in 2008. Whether we like it or not, some projects take time to fully develop. So it's not surprising that there hasn't been any updates since the Broadcasting & Cable article this past June.
As the old saying goes, slow and steady wins the race. :)

Your link just references the article Kane was talking about.
Good stuff, but unfortunately nothing new.

Well even if this was mentioned before, I was abroad (without internet) when all of this came out - so it's news to me!!!
Thanks for the link :)
Just in case you haven't already heard, the show is being picked up by Spike. The network will begin broadcasting the series in the autumn of 2008. I reported this announcement on another thread, but here's the link to the article anyway.

Fortunately, Spike is a widely distributed cable network. So if you have cable television, there's a very good chance that Spike is available in your area.
In fact, Spike has actually been in operation since 1983, when it began as The Nashville Network. Then in 2000, Viacom bought the channel and renamed it The National Network. The country music format was jettisoned in favor of other programming (including reruns of shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation). But in 2003, TNN was renamed Spike TV. Eventually, however, the "TV" part was dropped from the name.
Under the name TNN, the channel was among several cable networks that sought to buy UM in 2000, when it was announced that the show was going to be revived as a first-run cable series. But the channel lost out to Lifetime. However, that lost opportunity doesn't look so bad in hindsight. Maybe the network felt that it should have acquired the show then, and such a feeling may have motivated them to try again at the next possible opportunity.
That's just my opinion.
