Does anyone agree that the launch for the Hillbillies including the airtimes is probably the best launch for a program on TVLAND in a long while?

Don't care much for Beverly Hillbillies . . . I might watch Just Shoot Me iat 8pm if the writer's strike goes that long, because what else will there be to watch then? If i"m noticing correctly, I see Three's Company is gone from the weekday lineup altogether (unless it still airs at like 4am or something). Is that right? I do see that it airs weekends at 10pm, which is a pretty good slot. Too bad it can't air then everyday.

And is anyone else sick of these MASH marathons? They seem to air a different marathon every other week. Sort of reminds me Nick at Nite . . . Plus, The Jeffersons is gone at 5pm. So far this fall, they've had one of their best schedules in a long time, and this chedule is a step down for me.

It is on TBS - weekdays 2pm to 3pm Eastern.

Hopefully, it will bomb weeknights at 8pm and it can be shifted into overnight oblivion.

Remember TV Land is for all eras now, they aren't calling themselves a classic TV channel anymore. Scrubs, Murphy Brown, Mad About You, and Cosby are all coming next year. Who knows what else they'll come up with.

Renewing Three's Company was sort of a waste if they're going to air it so little, IMO. Same for AITF.

But weren't these supposed to be late-night shows? Like after 10 pm or 11pm? Not prime-time.

Primetime is 10pm and 11pm. Still, the show isn't airing at all on weekdays. It really was a waste if they're not going to air it at all.

You'd think that TVland would add the show to their morning sitcom block.

I really don't like this new schedule. I don't care either for the BH. I sure will miss Three's Company during the weekdays. I hope that Just Shoot Me does not do well at all. They can bring back other classic shows like The Honeymooners. If TV Land is not called classic tv anymore then what are we supposed to do for classic tv? I guess I'd better stock up on dvd's.:(

By Cosby do you mean The Cosby Show, which has already aired on TVLand for a short while, or the CBS Cosby series from the 90s.

So does this mean The Jeffersons and The Brady Bunch are no more?

No, if you don't see a timeslot listed on the first post, then it will remain the same. Only one of Jeffersons slot is being removed and Brady Bunch will retain all of its slots.

And no the 90s Cosby is not coming. Three's Company will still be on weekdays, at 4am. Saturdays it will be on 4 times, 10-11pm, 12am, and 4a.

The Jeffersons was on a lot there for a while. Now it's back to once a day, in a crummy slot. Same goes for Three's Company (although it's good to see it's aiirng so many times on the weekends.)

There's still a lot of I Love Lucy. They should take out the 2 aiirngs at 5pm and put back The Jeffersons and airing of All in the Family.

Forgot about the latenight airing . . . but they're still 2 crummy slots. I remember the good old days when The Jeffersons was airing twice at 7pm, and then again at 9:30pm. Now we're lucky to get it in the morning.

It makes me wonder why Good Times and Sanford and Son continuously do better than The Jeffersons. Both were only moderate successes in the 70's, and ran 5 less seasons than The Jeffersons.

Looks like TVLand still sucks. I see I am not missing out on anything by not tuning in. The writers strike doesn't affect me as I watch no modern television. I was watching a tape yesterday from TVLand back when it was good. Ed Sullivan Show, Green Acres, Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour, Phil Silvers Show, and Mannix. I am guessing it was from 1996. I was rooting through some old VHS tapes and got sidetracked. It reminded me of when I used to watch TVLand all the time. How sad television has become now. :(

You're right . . . TBB is taking up a slot that could be taken by AitF or The Jeffersons.

And as much as I love Lucy (no pun intended) it is airing an awful lot. I mean, for a show that was at one point the lowest rated show on the network, it seems likes its airing more often than Andy Griffith, and I didn't think that was possible!

I know what you mean. The fact that it's more current than any of their other shows doesn't matter much. JSM does not go with any of the shows on their lineup. I doubt it'll last long at 8pm.

Why is Andy Griffith preempting I Love Lucy tonight in the 5PM hour?

No reason. Sometimes TV Land does that for some reason. It won't be replacing Lucy as a regular or anything, just a one-time-only airing.

They did that once too awhile back I remember, replacing I Love Lucy at 6pm, but it was just for that day. Just another very random thing by TV Land.

Pavan I was just going to ask you how did Just shoot me do in the ratings. I was hoping that it did not do well. It seems like when a show does wll in the ratings they have to milk that cow to death. If they can't show the shows that we want to see on tv then the least they can do is put it on their website in full episodes. (The jeffersons, Three's company) Or they can show sitcoms that they dont air (The Facts of Life, Benson) on their website and see how many people tune in to watch. That will give them an idea if the show will do well on television. They always show AG and Bonanza on television so why would people want to watch it on their website?
