How did Will and Carlton go from an all boys school to a school that had girls in it?

When the show first came on Will and Carlton were at an all boys school and Will carved his name on a desk and was gonna be suspened from school.

Then after about 2 more season they ended up at a school that had girls in it and Carlton was in lust after a girl then he found out it was Ashley.

Did the show ever explaine how they went from an all boys school to an a school with both sexes?

Were they both in JR. High then went to high school? No that can't be right, because Will said to one of Phil's clients that was nuts that he was born July 3, 1974 and Phil's client tried to hire will to give him stock advise.

So, in 1990 that would have made Will 16.(real life he was 22)

they made it a boys and girls school. There was an episode where Carlton was upset about it and also when Ashley was dressing like a tramp to get attention.

At first, there was one Bel Air Academy for boys and one BAA for girls. But just in time for Will's and Carlton's senior year, they sort of merged the two schools together. I don't know why though. Normally, I would have guessed, that they wanted to save expenses. Two smaller schools are more expensive than one larger school. But since the students came from wealthy homes, and their parents actually paid money so they could go there, I don't think that was it this time. But they probably had been thinking of doing it years before it happened, because it takes time to get changes like this through.

Really? As much as Fresh Prince is on I must have missed that episode. Here I thought I watched all the episodes 15 times each.
