Chuck and Kelly disagree over how Gracie should handle a class bully; Marsh must prove to Gary that he can read "Casey at the Bat" to children without crying.

I knew there was a catch. We get 2 great all-newsroom episodes in a row, now we get one with Gracie. I don't mind the fact that she's in this episode at all, but it just sounds a bit boring, and it's been done numerous times on other shows.

But, it's not like I'm not gonna tune in. Maybe it'll be different than what I think.

It doesn't sound too interesting, but I'm sure it will be funny. And I know I'm going to die laughing at this Marsh story. I'm looking forward to tomorrow night's episode.

...Oh, that's right.... :(

I like it that they're mixing things up a little. One week some newsroom stuff, another week some outdoor stuff (like on last week's show), and then some Gracie stories. It keeps things fresh.

It's good that they're involving Gracie here and there. There's some shows that hardly pay the kids any attention (Raymond, Reba, etc). You forget they're there sometimes. There's only so many sleepovers Gracie can go to in a month, LOL.

I know what you mean, after seeing so much of the work atmosphere last week, we are now going to see someone picking on gracie at school?-lol I hope not. I hope it's a OFF SCREEN bullying situation and she just tells her mom and chuck what's going on. I know that's something none of us would not have a interest in seeing

Yeah, I'm now realizing how great of a show this could be with just the newsroom, and no thing between Chuck and Kelly.

Gracie having a bully isn't exactly the best storyline to be having now either, since it won't be on the air for 2 weeks, and ratings have been going up the past weeks.

Sounds great - too bad we have to wait 2 weeks to see it. The Casey at the Bat bit sounds hysterical.

I thought this episode was quite funny. Kelly and Chuck always crack me up. Kelly using Chuck as a punching bag and then the ear flicking scenes were hilarious. Montana pronouncing Monongahela River was just a riot.

I'm affraid though that the short hiatus hurt the momentum the show was gaining in the ratings. And with the strike going on .... I'm kinda concerned. Too bad, this is a good show and it deserves so much more recognition.

I watched the episode too, it was pretty good. I liked when they were pretending to talk about a boat instead of Gracie.

I missed the ep last night since the NBA is back. So now I will have to record BTY and watch it on Thursday

I thought the episode was okay. Not my favorite - I really didn't get many laughs - but still good. The only time I laughed was told Gracie to call the kid a name if he was doing it to her, then he asked Gracie what his last name was to find something to rhyme with it, and it ended up being "Tucker"-LOL Great line there!

I also enjoyed the boat thing, then the tag scene with Kelly and Gary. I love how in each episode lately they've been having each character start to find out about the Chuck/Kelly thing. Last episode was Ryan and Montana, this episode was Gary. I'm almost certain the one to find out first will be Marsh for some reason.

I think this episode was pretty good. Not the best episode, but pretty funny all the same. Montana trying to pronounce that place was hysterical.

It's funny that I had already predicted the reason for the bullying: that the boy liked Gracie, even before I watched any of the episode. (Hey, I had the same thing happen to me a dozen times as a kid!) :D

Did anyone else figure on the same thing?

Yea I figured that out pretty early.

I liked the episode a lot. I don't mind the episodes about Gracie. I thought it was funny how Kelly and Chuck were fighting over what to do and then Gary thought they were talking about a boat. and then later Chuck tries to hit on the bully's mother.

Its so sad that they only have a few episodes left. I think the show is just hitting it's stride. I hope the strike doesn't kill the show. If Fox can renew Till Death and The War At Home for second seasons then BTY deserves it too.

I did expect a bit of a dropoff because of the mini hiatus they took in October. If they can maintain 7 million for the season, I think I will be pleased.

Still, that's the worst it's done in awhile. God, it was growing the past 3 episodes, and now the World Series has to kill it half a million viewers. I just hope it can grow past 7 million again by it's next hiatus at the end of the month.

And won't that episode be the last episode of the season, due to the strike? I know FOX is gonna air that episode, then not bring it back until March, when they'll air it after Idol Wednesday nights, in repeats of course.

According to the futon critic lisitings BTY will air a new episode next Wed Nov 14 and a repeat the following one Nov 21. That's all for 2007.

BTY will be back on March 12, 2008 when they'll air the remaining new episodes 3 or 4, not sure how many they have, and then the repeats. That's if the strike continues beyond the new year.

Well that just sucks. :(

I've been stockpiling episodes of Prison Break, Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives so I'll have something to watch in the new year.

I thought they were going to air the rest of its new episodes through November sweeps, the last new episode being November 28th, and then not air again until March, where it would air repeats after AI on Wednesday.

I'm not sure what to go by. I think if the season only does go 9 episodes, FOX should finish the season in November, instead of airing the last episode in November, and not air another new episode until March. ALthough, FOX could have had a last minute decision to remove the show from Nov. sweeps.

You know, I'd hate to say it, but things aren't looking too good for this show. I believe for the first time this entire season, Til Death actually did better than BTY - I think it 6.51 million. Now, you know if a show as bad as TD can beat a great, funny, classic show like BTY, things aren't too good.

I don't understand why people are deciding to tune out of this show. The CMA's could have killed it a little, but more than 7 million people should be tuning in from now on. After this season, with the writer's strike and all, I don't think it will be picked up for a second season. The only it oculd is if TD and the new FOX midseason sitcoms bomb on Friday nights. Then TD will probably be brought back to Wednesday nights next season, along with BTY to pair it up with.

YOUR HERE! :woohoo:

And FOX will probably re-air the episode you missed in a few weeks. I think Back To You only has 2 or 3 episodes left (for 2007, that is!)... :(
