Wait, why is a magazine as reputable as TRAVEL even posting such an article/survey like that? Is it this month's magazine?

ok ok, I just found it online. Solomon, get the story straight before you make a thread out of nonsense.

The survey was conducted and it asked people WHICH CITIZENS RATE THEMSELVES ON THEIR ATTRACTIVENESS. So, that means, the people of Philly THINK OF THEMSELVES AS UNATTRACTIVE, not that the magazine says the people are ugly. It asked a lot of questions, and that was one of them.

SOLOMON, GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

Irene that doesn't make sense, why would people who live here say that we have the ugliest people? Two philadelphians were interviewed and they disagreed. So i don't know what article you were looking at

You didn't post a link nor did you post the actual article. I looked up Travel and Leisure and found the article. Here is a portion of that article and read it carefully:

The survey generated nearly 60,000 responses.

For the complete survey results (good and bad) and methodology, go online to www.travelandleisure.com/afc.

Online visitors can also access the following items:

Resident Rankings: How residents, not just visitors, rate their own hometown cities. For instance, which citizens rated themselves least attractive or most intelligent—and do residents think their hometowns have notable neighborhoods, good cultural offerings, and top-notch dining?
Vacation Finder: An online tool that will provide users with personalized information to help them plan their trips around such interests as culture, food and dining, shopping, and more.
Comparison Tools: Users can compare two cities and how they stack up in the 60 categories that were part of the survey.

Then add your newspaper as one of the crappiest in the U.S. too (along with cops, women and everything else you b*tch abt...) because they are supposedly quoting the article and I just posted you a portion of that article for you to see. You can check it out online yourself. Seems to me your Philly newspaper is not on the ball. If they are going to quote an article, THEY NEED THEIR FACTS STRAIGHT.

The point is, when you quote from something, you should post a link or copy and paste the article here. You were quoting something from your newspaper that MISQUOTED OR OMITTED INFORMATION from a magazine article. If I had read that Philly article, I would have double-checked Travel and Leisure FIRST to make sure they were correct. Now you know your newspaper can't be trusted.
