The natural path would seem to be for Chuck to begin to grow up and for Kelly to begin to thaw, and the two would begin some sort of healthy relationship. But once the tension is broken and the two are a bonafide couple, won't the show lose something? On the other hand, if the relationship continues as it is much longer and Chuck continues to be a self-centered womanizer, won't that get old?

They probably could stretch out the ultimate get together by having them come close a little bit then pull back, and keep repeating that process. They could also introduce some other romantic figures in either or both of the characters lives but still keep in play the sense that Kelly and Chuck somehow will find their way to each other.

Their child could be useful as a reason for Kelly and Chuck to get together when they aren't at the studio. So even when Kelly and Chuck are at each others' throats, they'll still have to come together to interact because of their daughter. It will be interesting to see how long it takes before the daughter is told Chuck is her father.

I agree. I can totally see them devote quite some time to the ups and downs of the romantic relationship between Chuck and Kelly as can't live with you can't live without you sort of thing. They'll have to give in to their attraction to some point but will have to deal with their differences of character and attitudes towards life and a committed relationship that will constantly drive them apart and together again keeping the dynamics going.

I enjoy seeing them bickering at work but I would like to see them get along sometimes especially when it comes to challenges in rasing their daughter. She's at a very delicate age so they should have plenty of material to explore.

Chuck and Kelly are the heart of the show. They will have to develop stories for the supporting characters at some point but in a way they'll have to make Chuck and /or Kelly part of it especially during the first year. Although this may be an ensamble comedy I think it's too soon to focuss the show equally on every character because some of the supporting cast can't carry the show IMO, not just yet at least.

I kind of hope they hold off on focusing too much on Chuck and Kelly's relationship, at least for the first season. There's plenty for them to focus on at the station. I agree Chuck and Kelly are at the forefront and their relationship will have to develop at some point, but I don't want this show turning into a Moonlighting romantic comedy type show.

Oh, I'm not saying it might turn out to be EXACTLY like Tony an Angela, but I do think they're going to go that route. Maybe Sam and Diane are a better example (as Energy pointed out). I think the writers know what they're doing. I have a feeling that every so often they're going to make it seem like something will happen between the 2 leads, then pull the rug right out from underneath us. It's unpredictable, really. I wouldn't be surprised if they had sex sometime during this season. And of course Chuck will be going on about how great he was, and Kelly saying how "It will never happen again!" :lol:

Right now, Montana and Ryan are figuring out something is "there" between Chuck and Kelly. I think that's going to play out between those 4 for a while. And I don't think Gracie is going to find out about her dad for some time.

Didn't Ryan say he thought Kelly was hot last episode? I personally could care less if they take out the storyline with Ryan and Montana. Really doesn't add or take away from the show.

I don't really care either, but Ryan was so hot for Montana that one episode and then the whole thing was just dropped. Just wondered why. :confused:
