I can't tell if she's just faking it for publicity or actually crying.

It looked genuine to me - I know how much Ellen loves animals.

Ditto.

This whole "Iggygate" (something yahoo actually coined it) is just nuts. What the hell was so wrong with an 11 year old having a small dog?? I seriously wish that lady's business goes under.

Not only does she repossess the dog, but in pretty much every single interview to date, the woman's come across as a complete and total ***.

Ellen has always come across as a truly sincere person, I don't see why she would change for this

I felt so bad for Ellen. :( She's such a precious person who has such a heart for animals. She was just trying to find a good home for her dog, she did no wrong.

Ellen is kind and generous and she will come out of this entire "scandal" looking even more so, in my opinion...

I saw that her license was suspended on a technicality, any one else hear what it was? So the contract could be void anyhow.

I think it was because they didn't turn in a list of their so-called corporation's officers to whoever, so they go their licence suspended.

You know what kind of light this puts on businesses that deal with rescue dogs/cats? Some people may not want to deal with those kind of organizations because of this stupid b*tch and how she dealt with this whole issue. Isn't the purpose of these places to find good homes for their dogs/cats? If Ellen had given the dog to Mike Vick or his family, I could see their point, but this goes beyond a legal binding contract (if there is one considering her license was not valid)...it is a moral and ethical issue.

That woman made a huge mistake. She decided to repossess a dog from the friend of ELLEN DEGENERES. This is not some "nobody" here. This is someone with her own show and if she says anything on her show or in a magazine interview, etc., it will be HUGE PUBLICITY. If I dealt with people like Oprah or Ellen, I would be damn careful of saying or doing anything stupid that may cause them to say anything publicly that can ruin my business or reputation.

I heard the pet agency changed their phone number due to death threats, etc.. Well, then, why don't you just give Iggy back to Ellen's hairstylist and kids?

I seen on television yesterday something abt Ellen supposedly adopting or buying dogs, being seen with these dogs and then all of a sudden, she no longer has them. Does anyone know abt this? Has she adopted several dogs before and eventually given them away?

Here is what I found on the Inside Edition website. They found this information in the Los Angeles Times:

INSIDE EDITION has learned that Ellen has had some problems in the past with other pets. According to the LA Times, Iggy isn't the first dog that Degeneres adopted and later gave up.

Degeneres and de Rossi initially brought home an older dog from Mutts and Moms, but returned the pooch because it didn't get along with the couple's three cats. It was at that point that de Rossi went back to adopt Iggy, who ultimately did not get along with the cats either.

In 2006, Degeneres and de Rossi were photographed buying an adorable white French bulldog. Earlier this year, the couple was spotted walking a playful white puppy. And, in 2003, there was Oakland, a cute border collie Degeneres adopted after seeing the dog on TV in San Francisco. However, it remains unclear if Ellen still has any of those dogs.

Despite talk that past dog adoptions by the talk show host have not worked out, Degeneres is known for being a long time animal lover who's donated $20 million dollars to the American Society to Prevent Cruelty to Animals. Yet, it's Ellen's emotional outcry to return Iggy that's still all the buzz.
