lets just face it would be a waste of money just to by cbs/paramont dvd products why did they have to buy out paramont anyway as i said before if season 3 has any edited scenes that has not been seen in ages on the dvd then we all might as well either boycott there dvd releases or stop buying its said to say but its the honest truth lets say god forbid they decide to do a entire complete boxset featuring all of the seasons do you actually think they would either pay the rights for the music like season 1 had or put the show out as is i would not spend a penny on cbs/paramont the only way i do that if paramount took charge of the product i am telling you all it would not surprise me one bit if all of the episodes are edited out because of the music replacments and thats bad because in season 3 that was when the band started singing and performing songs and with the music replacments we will never get to see or hear what songs the band did i am not going to by the show until i hear and see for myself the reviews trust me if season 3 gets any bad feed back cbs/paramount will not continue with the series

we all might as well either boycott there dvd releases or stop buying

Is there a difference? By the way, boycotting is a great way to go. That way, they'll stop the releases altogether, and we won't get anything. Sounds great. :rolleyes:

@ studd911

Would you please stop that !!!! If you don't wanna buy the Dvd's...well, that's your Thing, ok. But would you stop pushing other People! There are People outthere who don't care about all that 'behind the scenes' Stuff and are just happy about the Release itself, cause they really wanna have the Show on Dvd. Yes, I am talking about me here! So what? Sure, the Music-Change isn't nice. But I can live with it. All I want is/are Dvd's. Thank You.

hey let me just get one thing streight here ok first of all, all i was saying was that cbs/paramount has messed up there dvd with the picture quailty sound and everything else that they had made there decision on, and you are right maybe i have been complaninng too much about the music replacments , but again the series has been cut through out the years in syndication and since it is coming out on dvd we deserve too know what all has been cut, i am not telling or pushing anybody not to but there dvds all i was saying was i would not pay or spend any money on a tv show that we have been waiting for ages to be edited out or missing original footages. when i could see the scenes cut on syndication if you want to buy the dvd then go ahead i am not stopping you help your self, but i am entitled to my own opinion all i want the dvd that is coming out next month to do well i could care less about what cbs/paramount does from here on out, but i am only going to say this one time and one time only you all can agree with me or disgree i do not really care as long as they cleared the music rights to some of the songs that that band had originally performed during that season i am cool with that peace out

lets all just keep our cool here guys - some people are more upset than others about the music replacements, but there is really not much we can do about it.

hey robyrob i did not mean too loose my cool, i was just upset about the previouse post comment that i got about me pushing people not too buy happy days season 3. All i was saying was that based on the decision that cbs/paramount has been making on there dvd's being edited or cut, that i was not going to spend any kind of money on a product that we all have been waiting along time for. The only thing that i was saying that i hope that they cleared some of the songs that the band had orginally perfomed during that season. Maybe i must have came off of the wrong way, but i do not like being accused of telling people not too buy the dvd, if they choose to buy them then so be it, but do not bring the mountain down on me for telling the truth or being entilted too my own opinion. Yes we all are upset and made about how cbs/paramont has gone about the dvd changes, but like i said in the future reference they are going too have to face down the line, questions and explantions by there peers, and the public buying there product and dvd, why is happy days being ruined and messed up. And they are going to have to give an account for that, and they now it already. That was all i was saying, well whatever happenes happens. But let me tell all of you this, if they have not put any kind of effort, nor the hard work and commit into these season, then i would not even bother to buy the rest of the seasons, i said me. Peace out

Are you mad because of the music rights or the show being "edited" (as in missing scenes)?

I'm kinda confused...probably because I can't read your writing even with the punctuation marks in them.

Let me figure this one out -- I guess you're saying (and I do agree with you)... that even with the original music cut out that you consider it edited and not complete correct? -- In this case I do agree with you.

But they have gave us "complete" episodes as in scenes not shown in a while - as in unedited scenes (music replacements not withstanding).

Actually there's only 1 episode that I've seen that had cut out scenes/dialogue and that was "Richie's Flip Side" (ie. Richie the DJ episode)...and yes that DOES SUCK.

My other beef with the last set (Season 2) was not just the music replacements...but the picture quality of some episodes did not seem up to par with the first season. Check out "Big Money" or "Crusin'".

Still fun for a laugh or two.

@studd911

Hey You. I'm sorry. I really didn't want to offend you. But all this Complaining again and again is annoying. Not you alone. Everybody's. And I hope you accept my Apology.

hey there is no problem i accept your apology, but i cannot help myself, i am just pissed how cbs/paramount is messing up our long awaited show. If i do not complain which is not going to do anything someone else who is buying the dvd will. All i am saying that a classic show like HD should not be in the poor condition that it will be in if cbs/paramount does not make a change, and again i cannot stand to see a television show especially if there are scenes that have not been seen in ages cut or edited on the dvd. And like i said in the previous messages that cbs/paramount is going to have to answer to the public and the people who are buying there dvds sooner or later nobody is going to want to buy edited scenes on a dvd when it should not be. Todd Fuller said it best when he reviewed season 2 that clearing all of the songs that the band did do is a must. Again i am entitled to express how i feel about the way that cbs/paramount has gone about the way they are putting out the dvds. Anybody would tell you that. Fans want too see the series as it was. And for cbs/paramount to come out and say that it cost lots of money to clear the music rights is bull, because if they can spend billions of dollers on other companies and business that they are investing there money in, then they could have worked out something with the music lables, it could be done, and i do have a point. But they are going to contiinue too hurt themselves and the fans and believe me, people are not going to buy a tv show if it is not complete thats the bottom line. But i wish them all of the best with there release but we all no what the outcome will be. BillyK to anwser your question, i am just pissed on the direction of how these dvds are going.

Or, the moderator could step in earlier when the same poster is regurgitating the same post over and over again. Just a lighthearted suggestion... ;)
