This girl i know when she goes to the bank always has to tell the teller to let her know what her bank account number is because she doesn;t know it like the back of her hand like she is supposed to-lol Anyone on here think this is UNACCEPTABLE? I mean how can you not know your bank account number?

I know my account number along with both (PIN Numbers).
Everybody should know their numbers by heart, and if they are
always forgetting them; write them down somewhere.

I haven't memorized it. I know where to get it if I need it, but I have neither the time, nor the desire to memorize something like that. I have what I need in my brain...

I dont know my savings account number, but I know my checking account number just from when I used to write it on all my deposit slips. I don't know why you have to know your number, I never go in the bank for anything.

It's useful to have it memorized for online banking... My bank requires my checking account number and a password for me to view my online statment.

I had my previous checking account memorized! I no longer have it now that I've had to close it just due to the skimming problem I had back in mid-May! I just need to memorize my new account.

I have a co-worker friend who memorized her driver's license! She's even surprised some people when they ask for her number when filling out papers for MVD. That's actually a great idea to get into the habit of memorizing your number. I need to do that as well.

I keep all kinds of info jotted in my calendar book. I have my kids social security numbers written in there. You never know when that may come up, such as an emergency.

I have my car account information in there, so when I make a payment over the phone, I have the account number and all the info they need when I make my payment. It just makes it so easy to have all my private/personal information jotted down. The thing is, if something should happen to me (coma, death, etc.) I better tell my family that I have my information written in that book.

I also have car information jotted down such as license plate numbers (my car, my boyfriend's car, my daughter's car) because "you never know". Car insurance information, etc.

Basically, I use this book when I make payments online or over the phone. Everything is at my fingertips. I don't need bill stubs. All my bills information is in that book.

I have had that book since 1997.

I've tried but it never sticks. I work at the bank anyways so I don't need to know it.

Ditto. I learned it just by typing it in so much.
