I was wondering how long did Mrs G stay with The Fact's of Life.

Until the end of the 7th season, her last debut was the first 2 episodes of season 8 which was entitled Out of Peekskill Parts 1 and 2. Very very sad episode, you should watch it on youtube if it's still up there!

yes she did, to bruce, and he wanted to go to africa for the peace corps. they had done this long before, when they were both pretty young, so she decided it would be fun to do that again, so they married in this campground park and off they went!

In that two-part episode, Mrs. G and Bruce was supposed to be there for 2 years, so Mrs. Garrett should have been coming back to Peekskill at the time of the final episode in 1988. But the reunion movie proved me wrong. Mrs. Garrett still should have made some appearances in the last few years, especially at Jo's wedding.
