those are GREAT eps...especially Pandoras Whine, that one has more twists than a cherry licorice!!

Doc Small guest stars the hilarious Aurora Browne , who is just one of the funniest girl comics in Canada :)

(Notice, im making sure not to add any spoilers for you ;))

Two of the BEST eps, to boot! :D (Not that theres many CG clunkers)

So, on a scale of 1-10, where do you put CG Irene?

I have put it on a 10+ ever since the first episode and it hasn't come down since. I doubt it ever will.

I have yet to see a crappy episode...unless they do a dream sequence set in Scotland with some dragon with two heads.

Ok, saw the two episodes last night. And let me tell you, the next time I watch CG, I am going to have a paper and pen and write things down. Let me explain. There are so many  moments and things that are said that are so damn funny, that I forget by the time I come here to post. If I watch the show while I am at the computer, no problem, but it is hard because CG is filled with so much sarcasm, double entendres (sp?), little remarks here and there by the characters - sometimes in one little scene  - that it is impossible to remember the funny lines later on. I am so busy laughing from one funny thing and the next thing I know, something else is making me

Pandora's Whine: The Leroys are really stressing over the more expensive wine that they are now accustomed to. I loved the scene when they had the lobster and all that expensive food on the table and here comes Lacey (late). She ends up eating meatloaf...AND SHE LOVES IT. Emma tells her she can warm it up and serve herself.

Doc Small: That poor doctor. She was like in the Twilight Zone. I loved how the doctor told Lacey she looked somewhat slutty. In my opinion, Lacey looked beautiful. If that is the town's idea of slutty, I feel sorry for Lacey. I dress in a similar fashion. I better not visit Dog River.

Ok, which episode had Hank with the lotto winning ticket?

Right the story about puting people into a "higher ______ bracket".......Lacey tries to be nice and bring wine, only to get the Leroys hooked on it, and they cant afford it....then gets Brent hooked on tiny $15 jars of marmelade!!! "They took the part of the orange thats usually thrown in the garbage, and made it spreadable!!" and the funniest part, Davis trying to break in new shoes! "karen, dont press the shoe thing, youll bring the whirlwind!!!"

:Doc Small: That poor doctor. I love how the young Doctor gets the idea that Brent is having weird sex with everyone in town.......causing him to take his arm off Davis shoulder when she confronts him!

:Ok, which episode had Hank with the lotto winning ticket? Pandoras box.....Hank wins $480 and tries to spread his good fortune, but, the only one who wants a share is Oscar who feels the ticket is his!

I seen it coming when Hank said he was going to spread his good fortune and we see him giving a box to Davis. I just knew he would give him boots.

hehehehehe  I think Pandoras Whine is one of the top 3 eps of CG cause its so true to life in the way it shows how someones good intentions often go bad , through misunderstanding(Lacey's wine), or greed ( Oscar wanting the ticket Emma Gave Hank ) . Its a wonderful comedic look at human nature.....and CG at its best! :)

Doc Small is more like an ep of 3s company with its sexual double entendres, but, done in a classier way, with little miss prude Dr getting all upset over nothing. It was clever though how they tied in her fathers death tragedy with Karens "puzzle" story, making her so upset she decides to walk home, instead of waiting for the bus!

I rewatched that last night, totally classic ep..... " You think I'm a loose cannon!" I think Gabrielle looks just SO hot on that ep!
I love watching Lacey giving Brent the "cold shoulder" when she thinks Brent didnt want to invite her to brunch! "Brent, I love brunch, it's my favorite meal...well, it's my favorite playful compound word, made up from the names of two meals!"

Mikado

Great ep...btw, another thing about Pandoras Whine.....They show Lacey eating meatloaf, but, in real life, Gabrielle is a VEGETARIAN!

Doc Small, A new young Dr comes to Dog River, unfortunately, shes not what anyone expected!

I am shocked because on Sunday's we had two episodes. Today it is only one. As a matter of fact, this thread was made on a Sunday when two episodes aired.

Maybe its a holiday thing.....they need more room for something else???

Here in Canada, they are having a new years day CG marathon!

Ireneparalegal
12-30-2007, 11:22 PM
Nope. They are airing that Keifer Sutherland show 24 from 8-9p.m. then CG. Nothing special there.

One of my very faves from that season.....I wonder if Gabby really ATE REAL meat loaf or if they made "Vegetarian meat loaf" for her, for the scene

And of course......"Grumpy Davis, Karen drives!"

Ireneparalegal
02-28-2008, 01:31 AM
Well let me say, her meatloaf looked good enough to eat, unlike Gerdy's meatloaf on GOOD TIMES *insert dog bark here*

Mikado
02-28-2008, 01:38 AM
hehehe Well, as you know, they use real food on the show, but, since Gabrielle is a Vegetarian, I wonder if they used tofu for her meatloaf or something

Alrighty, tonight's episode is DOC SMALL... I guess WGN is airing these shows in some kind of order from the last time. Note how these two episodes aired back to back on a Sunday and here we have PANORA'S WHINE which aired yesterday and today we have DOC SMALL.

Thats a great ep, the town tries hard to attract a new Dr , Giving Lacey the job of flirting with him........ until they meet her, then they want Lacey to shoo her away!
(Tues's CG Picture Quiz is from that ep!)
