Jeannie Boulet is back! A call has gone out to former ER cast members to return to County General in what could be the venerable medical show's last season.

Noah Wyle, who plays the rich kid, doc John Carter, is signed up for at least four episodes, and now TVGuide.com has learned Gloria Reuben, who played the HIV-positive physician's assistant Boulet, has also signed on.

Reuben, who left in 1999 when she found her storyline too depressing and one-note, returns to the ER on Jan. 10, when her character needs treatment for her HIV-infected son. She initially clashes with the staff over her child's care, but eventually allows Dr. Greg Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) to help her through the difficult time.

I've always liked her, so I'm glad to hear the news!

I knew she was coming back this year, but being as how she was one of the originals (and has been gone for 8 years), I was curious as to how they would bring her in. It sounds like it will work though. I can't wait for the episode.
