Does not surprise me any. The show for me is just too boring. After watching the first episode, I am not interested in future episodes.

Overnights from Marc Berman :

As predicted, week two of idiotic ABC sitcom Cavemen came tumbling down, finishing fourth in the 8 p.m. half-hour with a mere 4.5 rating/7 share in the overnights. Comparably, that was down by a significant 31 percent from it’s week-ago debut (6.5/10 on Oct. 2, 2007). When a show loses this much steam in the second week you know the viewers did not like what they saw. I mean, how could they? Do you believe this nonsense?

Without the benefit of any lead-in support, week two of ABC’s Carpoolers also crashed, with a third-place 4.7/ 7 in the overnights at 8:30 p.m. Comparably, that was down by 25 percent from its week-ago premiere (6.3/10 on Oct. 2).

Here are the fast nationals for Cavemen and Carpoolers (I guess Carpoolers in not TOO bad) :

As predicted, week two of idiotic ABC sitcom Cavemen came tumbling down, finishing third at 8 p.m. with just 7.00 million viewers and a 2.5 rating/8 share among adults 18-49. Comparably, that was down by a significant 2.19 million viewers and 29 percent in the demo from it’s week-ago debut (Viewers: 9.19 million; A18-49: 3.5/10 on Oct. 2, 2007). When a show loses this much steam in the second week you know the viewers did not like what they saw. Can you blame them?

Without the benefit of any lead-in support, week two of ABC’s Carpoolers also lost steam with 7.36 million viewers (#3) and a 2.8/ 8 among adults 18-49 (#3) at 8:30 p.m. Comparably, that was down by 1.70 million viewers and 20 percent from its week-ago premiere (Viewers: 9.06 million; A18-49: 3.5/ 9 on Oct. 2).

Fast Nationals:

8-9PM
ABC
Cavemen 4.5/8 (#3), 7.0 million (#3), 2.5/8 18-49 (#3)
Carpoolers 4.9/8 (#3), 7.36 million (#3), 2.8/8 18-49 (#3)

Carpoolers certainly did better than Cavemen.

Finals later today.

It is only a matter of time before it gets cancelled. I watched the first episode and it was really boring. I tried again with the second. It was a little better but I don't think it has what it takes to become a hit.

I also saw the first episode it was boring with a capital B.I didn't bother with the second week's episode,either..I would not be AT ALL surprised if this show got axed soon. And ABC must be desperate and realize "Caveman"and "Carpoolers" are NOT doing well in the ratings, because they are NOW saying in the promos for the series-"Get to know Caveman and Carpoolers".

I thought the second episode was better, a little funnier than the first one.

I was just about to start a thread asking how many have seen this and if it's as bad as it's sounds. But now; I have my answer. And I can't say I'm surprised. (I read on another site where someone said they turned it on, and turned to something else after 5 minutes; because it's so bad).
ABC should have known better. What's funny in a series of 30 second ads isn't funny in a half-hour sitcom. I knew it was pretty bad when ABC wouldn't even let critics see the pilot.

ABC is becoming the new FOX. Their advertising is shoddy and their choice in shows is typical at best.

^ The days of great TV execs now seems long gone. Silverman, Tinker, Tartikoff...sure they all had their rough spots (Silverman's NBC tenure, anyone?) but they sure brought quality programming to prime time. Now, it's just mostly a cesspool.
