Memorial day was to be a day of rest and relaxation for everyone in the Edna"s Edibles building. The store was closed like all the other stores and the girls had snuggled up with agood movie and Mrs. Garret was making popcorn. "I think the butler did it." said Tootie. Natalie rolled her eyes,"The butler can't ALWAYS do it, Tootie!" There was a scream from the tv. Tootie's eyes widened, "Don't tell me the butler didn't do that!" Natalie said, "Oh come on tootie, it's not even the butler's style!" Tootie said, "How would you know the butler's style?" "SHHH" said Jo. Mrs. Garret walked in with a fresh batch of popcorn, "What I miss?" Tootie said, "The butler just killed the Governor." Natalie said, "Tootie! It's NOT the butler!" Mrs. Garret sat down, "Lets just wait and see,girls."

After the movie Tootie said, "I told you it was the butler, Nat!" Natalie shrugged "Who knew?" Tootie crossed her arms, " I knew" Jo patted Tootie on the head,"Alright Tootie, we know you knew. Don't get cocky." Blair said, "Who is going to get the next movie? Everone looked at her.Blair widened her eyes, "Don't look at me! I got the first movie" Jo said,"We really don't need to go out, we have plenty of movies in the house." Mrs. Garret said, "Why don't you get one for us?"

During the next movie Natalie said, "I hate this movie." Jo glared at her,"You told me to look for that one." Natalie said,"Well, It's the best we got." Mrs. Garret said, "You don't like my videos?" Realizing her mistake Natalie spoke fast,"Not yours Mrs. Garret...just...it's just that I've seen them all a thousand times!" Tootie said, "Then why didn't you know the butler did it?" Natalie replied, "That one was a new one! Mrs. Garret we need more tapes if we are going to survive this Memorial day weekend!" Mrs. Garret laughed,"Oh Natalie, don't be so dramatic." "Yea!" said Tootie, "Who do you think you are? Me? Jo got up, "Ok just to keep this from turning into an altercation, I'll go get some more videos." "Well" said Tootie,"Why must you get them? Natalie was the one who was bored!" Natalie stood up and said, "Just because I can't watch a movie more than a thousand times! Blair should go since she has had practic!" "WHAT?" Jo stopped the tape and took it out,"I'll just go put this back." But the others didn't hear her because of all the shouting.

Keep going, I can't wait to see what happens next.

Natalie: She's always saying what a great kid you are.
Andy: Kid?
Natalie: Guy. Did i say kid? Why would i say kid? Man. She said man!

On her way downstairs Jo heard no yelling. "So, who lost?" she said. "Blair." said Tootie, "She went to the corner store."
Jo asked, "The corner store?" Mrs. Garret said, "The only place opened this weekend." Jo walked to the sofa, "Yes I know but I don't think they sell tapes." Tootie said, " They have a new section for tapes,Jo. Get with the times!"


At the corner store Blair bought five tapes and left. It was getting dark but there was enough light to get home by. Up ahead Blair could see two very shaggy men on the corner. As she passed them one said, "Excuse me miss, do you have any money?" Blair said, "Yes." The men looked at each other and then the first one said,"May we have some?" Blair stopped walking, "Why, Of course,How much do you need?" The second one said, "All of it!" Blair laughed, "No,really! How much?" The firstone said,"Miss, he is serious.We are robbing you."shocked Blair said, "Your kidding?" The the second man grabbed Blair's shoulder,"Look at me Blue Blood! Do I look like I'm kidding!?" scared, Blair gave him her money. He counted it and said, "This ain't enough!" "B-but I gave over 100 dollars!" The man put her up against the wall,"It ain't enough!" The first man pulled the second man away, "Hey man, we've talked about this! We can't spend a day negotiating money from her!" The second man looked around and said,"Come on!" The first man turned to Blair and said,"Sorry miss." then he followed his partner.


Blair felt week and she was shaking. She wanted to get home as fast as she could but no matter how fast she walked she didn't seem to walk fast enough. She hadn't noticed she had dropped a few tapes but she was to frightened to care. The sun was almost down. She couln't stop shaking.


When Blair got home it was dark and she was exhausted. She went in through the back door. Everone was sitting in front of the tv. "Did you get the tapes?" Tootie asked. Jo looked at Blair, "What happend?" Blair took a deep breath and said,"I was mugged..." Jo said,"Oh is that all?" Mrs. Garret said, "WHAT!?" Everone else said, "Are you all right?" Blair said quietly,"I'm not sure..." Mrs. Garret got up and hugged Blair. Natalie and Tootie went to comfort her,too. "Oh come on," said Jo,"I've been mugged before it's no big deal." Almost crying Blair said,"Well I haven't, Jo...It is a big deal to me..." Jo rolled her eyes, "Have you called the police?" "No." She replied. Jo shifted in her seat, "The mugger will never get caught unless you report it." "Jo! Mrs. Garret said,"Please."
"OK," Jo said,"Sorry."


The next morning after breakfast Jo said,"feeling better Blair?" Blair said,"A little. Thank you." "...Maybe someday you'll be able to tell us about it." Mrs. Garret put her hand on Blair's shoulder,"When your ready, we will listen." Blair looked around the room full of friends that loved her.
"I think I'd like that." "Good" said Jo,"What are we going to do today?" "Nothing!"Tootie said. Natalie said,"Sounds like a plan." Jo said,"Lets do it!"
Everybody except Blair got up and left to do nothing. Blair just smiled. Then she got up,walked across the room, picked up the phone and called the police. She was going to make sure those men never mug another person again, "Hello? Peakslile police? I'd like to report a mugging."

Well, that really isn't my style but I could say "she replied" more if it'll help. Or maybe I could try another style.

Loved it! You should write more fanfics! I loved the whole butler thing, I can totally see Tootie and Nat doing that. lol
