I found this on the web about granddaughter Kate:

Lucille Ball died when Kate was only 4. The memories I have of her are so specific, she says. I grew up in California and lived there until I was 6 or 7. She "was a big part of my life."

Wow, Kate is the spitting image of Lucie Arnaz. Too bad Lucy died so soon.

Is it just me, or does Lucie Arnaz look like Cher in the photo at the left?

Oh yeah you're right, I missed that one she does look like Cher.

Wow, she really does look like Lucie, doesn't she?

I'm not really seeing the Cher thing though with Lucie.

I'm talking about Lucie in the black and white photo at the left, and the Cher of years ago before all the plastic surgery. Something about Lucie's expression in that photo reminds me of the old Cher.

What a beautiful young lady Lucie's daughter is - she really does take after the Arnazes!

I agree she is very pretty and looks very much like an Arnaz, but I've seen some other photos of her where it looks like she's inherited her grandmother Lucy's big eyes. No, they're not blue like her grandmother's, but they're wide and expressive.

Do you think you could post another couple of pictures?

The only other pictures I've seen of her came from a private source. I would not post those in a public space without permission. But if I happen to run across any more that are already on a public site (which I haven't seen yet) I will post them.

Okay, I found a few pictures. They're not the best example of what I was talking about, but at least you get a better idea of what she looks like. There are also a couple articles I found from five years ago when Kate was given the honor of being crowned Queen of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, Virginia, a festival for which Lucille Ball was made Grand Marshall back in 1964. So Kate was sort continuing a tradition. One of those articles said the following regarding Kate's memories of her grandmother:

Lucille Ball died when Kate was only 4. "The memories I have of her are so specific," she says. "I grew up in California and lived there until I was 6 or 7. She was a big part of my life growing up. She lived 15 minutes away and I was at her house every day. My memories of her are very, very vivid."

Lucy made her granddaughter cookies, and they'd watch the cartoon INSPECTOR GADGET together. "Then she'd put me in these silk pajamas. What little hair I had, she'd put up in curlers and she'd put make-up on me."

Here are the web addresses for those articles about Kate at the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival:

And here's another article on Lucie Arnaz's site with pictures of Kate performing with her mother:
