I noticed in watching Haunting Evidence on Court TV a couple cases I remember from UM. I don't know how much this has been discussed here before. It's interesting to see a different aspect to these cases. The one most recently is the one about the two girls found in the desert in Arizona. They had disappeared from a convenient store near their apartment. The people on the show think they knew their killer from a local store (maybe a photo place), went out to the desert to party with him, refused his advances and then he got mad and killed them.

I'd like to see this. Even though I generally find "Haunting Evidence" kinda cheesy, that case is seriously creepy. That's the case where someone stole the photos that family/friends had placed where their bodies were found, right?
Didn't they go missing during the day, and aren't parties (especially desert parties) usually at night? How far away was the place where they were found. I mean, I suppose I could have taken a while to drive there, or they could have done other stuff before they went out to the desert. The girls did seem to be pretty bored and looking to have fun. I guess I'm just thinking that if someone invited me to a party, I'd say, "Okay, pick me up later at ____-o-clock." I don't know, I just have doubts.

to answer your questions, they were picked up by the guy in the early evening, it's tough to say when they went missing because it's not known whether or not the guy that picked them up was the one that made them disappear. The segment did state that the place where they were found was not a very well known area, so whoever placed them there had to have pretty intimate knowledge of the area.
The segment did throw most of the suspicion towards whoever picked them up in the blue-ish truck, but he may not have been the one who did them in. It is possible he got them to the party safely and they encountered foul play elsewhere.

According to the Haunting Evidence episode, the girls were at the "convenience store" for a really long time, drinking. So even though they left during the day, they left in the truck at night. They didn't go into the part about the pictures being taken from the site. The crosses were there, though. It's interesting to see cases presented on UM and other shows because each show different parts of the case.
