I was wondering, with all of these releases, will we eventually see a "Best of" disc released, you know episodes like The Freezer, Lucy Does a TV Commercial, LA At Last, Job Switching, Italian Movie, etc? Seems like something with 7 or 8 of the most popular episodes, maybe priced at $10 or so would be a nice supplement to the season releases for more casual fans. There was a 'Best Of' for The Cosby Show released a few days ago, spotlighting the series' most defining episodes...not a huge Cosby fan, but I may buy this disc. I think there were also some individual 'Favorites' DVDs released for Three's Company as well, and some other shows.
So I think this may be a nice idea, the series is so popular. It's nice for the more casual fans that may not want to buy the seasons, but want the big episodes that the series is most known for.

I can't say for sure, but my guess would be no. Usually, these "best of" sets are released when the studios are trying to determine whether there might be a market for releasing full-seasons sets. If the "best of" DVD is a big success, then they'll consider doing full-season releases. However, doing a "best of" release of I LOVE LUCY might be a strategy to milk every dollar they can get out of the show. But, if they were to do that, I can't see them doing it for awhile because they would want to ensure they've sold as many of the higher revenue, full-season sets as possible.

I don't like BEST OF dvd's because they are not MY BEST OF (faves). Also, why buy the BEST OF when you can just have the entire seasons on DVD.
OH Nuts!

Exactly. Even though I did get a very nice VHS set of the 10 most popular I.L.L. shows 6 yrs ago, its huge in comparison to DVD storage. And I want all the I.L.L. anyways--because we each have our own favorite eps--like mine is Return Home From Europe--and often these eps don't show up on a selected list.

I hope they do not release a "Best Of ILL".
The seasons sets and now complete series set is enough.
MOVE ON TO THE LUCY SHOW!!!!
I can't say it enough times :)
