hey guys,

i know we have done fav. season, fav. episode of certain season, but lets see what our favorite of all time is(the episode that you can watch over and over and still laugh everytime, this is from her of lucille balls shows.)

Mine is Lucy and Viv put up a tv antenna:

i love the interaction on the roof.

Ethel: "Lucy promise me something. If this thing ever blows over again promise me you wont let anyone else but me help you put it up.

Lucy: "Oh!"

Ethel: (crawling along the roof to go back down she stops and looks in the whole lucy made above her bed room) Oh i should have made my bed this morning!

And i think i love this because this is one time we see vivan stand up for herself and she is a real smart ass lol.

what about you all.

That is one of my favorite episodes as well. You really have to see it to appreciate how funny those lines are, especially Viv's. It was not so much what she said, but the way she said it -- as only Vivian Vance could do.

Good for you! As I said earlier in another thread, that's not my least favorite episode, but I give them credit for going out on a limb and doing something very different. That episode does not follow the normal "I Love Lucy" structure, which I think is why a lot of people dislike it. But I think it's very creative, and an interesting departure from the usual routine. And I like the music.

My all time favorite from I Love Lucy is probably Lucy does a TV Commercial. I loved when she was in her tv set trying to show Ricky that she was talented and I howled when he shorted out the tv, then Lucy exclaims. "What are crazy or something, what are you trying to do barbecue me!".

My favorite from The Lucy Show is Lucy and Viv take Judo Lessons. I forget the story since I haven't seen it since I was a teenager, but I remember laughing alot at that episode.

I know what you mean about Viv sticking up for herself, in the episode Lucy puts in a shower when they are up to their necks in water Viv asks Lucy if she paid the water bill and Lucy says yes. Viv exclaims, "That was a dumb thing to do!".

That was a good one too. Its where they hear that there has been a lot of crime going on in their neighborhood so they decide to talk judo lessons so they can defend themselves. LOL

No doubt about it -- the one where Lucy gets the freezer. Her jumping jacks and frozen tears and Ricky's antics have me doubled over every time. When Lucy cries, her most thoughtful husband looks in, sees her crying, and says, "boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo, NO!" over and over while waving his arms in a 'stop that' fashion. What kills me even more than WHAT he says is the WAY he delivers the lines. Hopefully some of you will know exactly what I mean. Desi was an absolute genius, and drop-dead funny, to boot. :D

Oh wow, what a toughie, Lucy's all time favorite was the Lucy show's Dean Martin one, or so gary said. I might have to go with that one also, i just loved it, but there are so many others, my ILL one was the Bill Holden one, and my LDCH one is the Danny Thomas one, still as funny today as back when it aired and not all shows can do that, we know that now that we can see the shows that used to rock our boats and they merely let them float nowadays, LOL! My favorite HL one is the Burton episode, as much as i hate the two stars, it was a great great show.

Picking one I Love Lucy episode as a favorite is very difficult; there are so many that I consider hilarious. If I had to narrow it down I'd say the episode where they're packing the car for their trip to California. The Monte Carlo episode and the Superman episode are among my favorites too.

For The Lucy Show I'd say the one where she had to go through all those booby traps to get to Jack Benny's bank vault in his basement. Any episode with Viv was great too.

Yes, it's hard to pick just one--but mine is Return Home From Europe, where Lucy and Ethel smuggle a 25 lb cheese on the plane disguised as a baby. When they discover that even babies on international flights get charged, they attempt to eat the whole cheese. I thought it was the ep that best captured Lucy's crazy and hare-brained approach to things.

I'm with you, anytime they were "putting on a show" was always a happy time for me...it was like having a regular comedy show "meal", with a musical "desert" at the end! :)
Btw  Hi fellow Canadian! ( J'aime bien la ville de Montreal, les Canadiens s'ont la!!!)

Wowa? Mikado, and you're from here? Never knew that but i've always loved your posts. Hey Lodee, i dunno how you spell colorized, we do z's where the Brtish do s's or we and the Brits do it one way and you Yanks do it another way, whatever, it's in clolor, i think it was filmed that way but never broadcast that way of course as they were not capable of that back then, LOL!
