Overnights are in and the pilot for Cavemen did a second place 6.5/10 in the 8pm half-hour. Considering how badly it was publicized and how bad the actual pilot was, that is not bad. Though maybe it should have been higher for all the buzz.

Carpoolers, the much better and funnier show, did a 6.3/10 following Cavemen, also good for second place.

We will have fast numbers by like noon and hopefully the final numbers by the end of the day. It looks to be around 9-10 million for both shows.

Here are the fast numbers:

8-9pm
Cavemen: 6.1/10 (#2), 8.98 million (#2), 3.3 18-49 (#T1), 2.7 18-34 (#1)
Carpoolers: 5.9/9 (#2), 9.02 million (#2), 3.4 18-49 (#2), 2.9 18-34 (#T1)

ABC won the night with a 7.9/13 thanks to the 10.4/16 from Dancing with the Stars: The Results at 9pm and the good showing from Boston Legal with a 7.4/12 at 10pm.
Cane on CBS dipped to 6.0/10 in its second week...a major drop.

So this is good?

Not bad. On par with Back to You's pilot.

All 4 of the new sitcoms this season have done about the same, with Cavement doing the worst. Lets's hope they don't dip as much as back to You did, and do about what Big Bang Theory did in it's second episode.

Really all four have done the same for the premieres, with minor differences in viewers. Look at the households:

Cavemen 6.1/10 (prelim still), 8.98 million (prelim still)
Back to You 6.0/10, 9.48 million
Big Bang Theory 6.0/9, 9.52 million
Carpoolers 5.9/9 (prelim still), 9.02 million (prelim still)

Big Bang had the most 18-49 rating with a 3.7, Carpoolers had a 3.4 prelim, Cavemen a 3.3 prelim and Back to You a 3.1 18-49.

More households with less people watched Cavemen because Big Bang and Back to You had slightly more total viewers.

We'll see if it holds up. With Cavemen I expect a huge drop next week.

Of note: B2U dropped big time in it's 2nd week, BBT did not.

Yes, Big Bang's 2nd episode did: 5.4/8, 8.5 million, 3.3/8 18-49...not bad (compared to BTY's 4.5/8, 7.47 million, 2.8/9 18-49). Needs to stay steady now. Cavemen and Carpoolers will be fine if they do around BBT's 2nd episode numbers. I'm rooting for Carpoolers!

Our local ABC station didn't air either show last night, we saw The Jeff Fisher - Titans Football Show instead. They're suppose to air the shows Saturday night from 11 pm until Midnight. I hate when stations pull that crap.

I think a few stations didn't air Cavemen actually.

Cavemen is as good as gone. Carpoolers may not be far behind.

Yes, I'm sure Cavemen got the ratings it did in its premiere because so many people wanted to see what all the hype was about. Now that they saw what junk it is, I doubt it will be so high next week.

Final ratings saw Cavemen/Carpoolers go up a bit in viewers and 18-49:

I completely agree. I hope it is dropped before the third show. I don't think I can stand it let alone the dumb GEICO commercials any longer.

I've seen a couple episodes of Brady Variety, not to mention all 6 episodes of Pink Lady & Jeff (all on DVD). :eek: I'm a glutton for punishment. :lol:
