why did mel did not want any of the girs to have a 2nd job why did he have such stupid rule besides lots of peple work 2 jobs

One thing I noticed was on the hooker episode, Mel didn't get ruffled about "moonlighting" when Alice went to sing at that bar. I guess that wasn't written into Mel's character yet until later, right?

I think the first episode he made a big deal about it was "Alice by Moonlight" in the 2nd season. That's the one where Alice was basically a walking zombie due to her 2nd job ;)

If a person's second job affects their other job, the boss can fire that person because they are not doing their job. I agree, as long as it doesn't interfere with the other job, no boss can tell you that, but when you start falling asleep, that is another issue. :lol:
