View Full Version : Anyone watch Carpoolers Tonight? TVFactFan 10-02-2007, 09:17 PM It was watchable, but I need to see a little more before I make a decision on it. I enjoyed the show more when they were in the car-lol Pavan 10-03-2007, 11:47 AM Like I said in my review, I wasn't expecting much before watching it but it was surprisingly funny. What did you think of Aubrey (nerdy girly black guy with a million kids and a couch potato wife), Solomon? And the weird kid Marmaduke? They both are my favorites...they are good in episode two, too. Superbowl 10-03-2007, 12:02 PM Well, I watched both new ABC sitcoms last night as I always do. I watch almost all of the sitcoms, and especially the new ones. Out of respect to Pavan I am just going to say "no comment" on these shows if you know what I mean. And yes, I will give them another try next week. HugeTVFan 10-03-2007, 03:17 PM The full episodes are on ABC.com, correct? AB 10-03-2007, 04:02 PM I didn't get to see them, our local abc network ran the Jeff Fisher - Titans Show about football. I called the station and found out both shows will air Sat. night from 11 pm to midnight. I don't understand why they did this. TVFactFan 10-03-2007, 05:37 PM Like I said in my review, I wasn't expecting much before watching it but it was surprisingly funny. What did you think of Aubrey (nerdy girly black guy with a million kids and a couch potato wife), Solomon? And the weird kid Marmaduke? They both are my favorites...they are good in episode two, too. Why wasn't the black guy's wife never shown? TVFactFan 10-03-2007, 05:39 PM The full episodes are on ABC.com, correct? What do you mean by the full eps? That was a EDITED version I saw last night? Pavan 10-03-2007, 05:51 PM The black guy's wife not being shown is a gag. She isn't show in episode two either, lol. Solomon, he is asking if the show is available to watch on abc.com as well. And I believe it is. TVFactFan 10-03-2007, 05:54 PM The black guy's wife not being shown is a gag. She isn't show in episode two either, lol. Solomon, he is asking if the show is available to watch on abc.com as well. And I believe it is. Oh ok, I was getting ready to do a wednesday Night rant, Special edition-lol HugeTVFan 10-03-2007, 06:27 PM I checked. It isn't. :( HugeTVFan 10-03-2007, 09:16 PM Nope. It is. I didn't actually go into the streaming player thing they have. Brian Damage 10-03-2007, 09:26 PM It was just eh ok. I'll check it out next week before reserving judgement. TVFactFan 10-03-2007, 09:28 PM It was just eh ok. I'll check it out next week before reserving judgement. Carpoolers in same situation, One Out, no men on Base-lol Brian Damage 10-03-2007, 09:45 PM Carpoolers in same situation, One Out, no men on Base-lol I hear you, Cavemen though, is two strikes and two men out. lol TVFactFan 10-04-2007, 12:11 AM I hear you, Cavemen though, is two strikes and two men out. lol 3 Balls and 2 strikes and next Pitch coming on 10.9/07?-LOL-LOL Brian Damage 10-04-2007, 01:10 AM 3 Balls and 2 strikes and next Pitch coming on 10.9/07?-LOL-LOL  Better Days 10-04-2007, 02:03 AM I brought myself to watch it, as I've been off current tv for 2 years - but you never know when a good show will come around(like "Earl"). Cavemen was flat, but Carpoolers had some magic. It's just fun and goofy, like Grounded for Life(Every ep on DVD!) And a surprise: at the end there was a song from the band......Boston. Haven't heard from them much lately. I've had that song on vinal for 25 years! Couch Potato 05 10-05-2007, 02:02 AM I liked the show more than I thought. I sure hope the 4 guys take turns doing the driving. Why does the only black guy on the show have to be the chauffer, not to mention have a million kids? I hate these racial stereotypes. It was better than Cavemen. Pavan 10-05-2007, 02:06 AM The second episode has a different driver. TVFactFan 10-05-2007, 06:46 PM I liked the show more than I thought. I sure hope the 4 guys take turns doing the driving. Why does the only black guy on the show have to be the chauffer, not to mention have a million kids? I hate these racial stereotypes. It was better than Cavemen. I was wondering would that be case-lol snl 70s show fan 10-06-2007, 03:12 AM i watched it and i liked it more than i thought i would. TMC 10-21-2024, 02:58 AM Short-Lived Sitcom Potpourri Pop-Out – CARPOOLERS (https://jacksonupperco.com/2024/10/16/short-lived-sitcom-potpourri-pop-out-carpoolers/) Thoughts: Don’t let the high-concept logline fool you — this is basically just a hangout show (https://web.archive.org/web/20140405001700/http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/topic/3154132-carpoolers/?view=getnewpost) about four guys who live in the same suburban neighborhood and work in the same office building. The whole carpool angle is merely a premised hook and an excuse to congregate four theoretically different people who otherwise wouldn’t be close, uniting them in a male-focused ensemble that can go back and forth between their jobs and their homes. Design-wise, I think it tries a little too hard to be fresh and unique, for the carpooling ends up as something of an extraneous device — and certainly not a flowing font of story. But that’s ultimately okay, for the show does fine by its characters and its comedy, with ideas that are fairly fresh and/or made to be unique.
