I was wondering did TV One lose the right's to Amen or did TV One put Amen on Hiatus

Well they added 3 new shows so I don't know if it'll come back. Maybe when one of the shows does badly with ratings then they'll add Amen back to the lineup.

They moved 227 to 5am and I was recording those, now I've missed 4 episodes because of the move.

I hope that Amen comes back to TV One hey maybe Ion will re-add Amen to there schedule

Nope, according to several press releases the show is simply on hiatus. I think it was time for a break for it anyway to make room for other shows to get some airings. Also, you have to keep in mind that in the contracts, the networks are only allowed so many airings. Hence, TVLand's pulling shows for awhile and bringing them back prior to their renewals or discontinuation.

I spoke to a TV ONE employee because I just finished doing production for one of their makeover shows. The rep says that it had been aired frequently and was pulled for a time but should be back later down the line. She also said if you want to see 227, be sure to get as many episodes as you can becuase that will be pulled as well and then will return later.

I'm sure you all saw, but Amen returned last Saturday with a marathon and is now airing weekdays 6-7am...BUT it will get an additional hour in May...5-6PM in the early evenings starting May 5:

Did not get around to doing it and did not realize how easy it was to get it:

I lived at home for the first twenty some odd years of my life so I was not accustomed to ordering cable, it was already there (thanks mom!)

College apt had cable ready service

I had put off getting it installed because I thought that it would be expensive according to what others were paying.

I got mine cheap with Time Warner digital.


As far as AMEN goes, I don't have a problem with the 5pm time slot. Record the news if it is important to you. LOL. Me thinks that 5pm is a lower rated time due to the news which is probably why the show was placed at theat time.

I agree, I think that 5 is a great time for Amen, even though I'm just getting home around that time. Also the same news that our local stations air at 4 & 5 will be the same news that your local station will airs at 6.

But the News that comes on First in my area at 5pm is MORE FRESH than the 6pm news. 6pm news is just recapping everything that was talked about from 5pm to 6pm

No, it was 5-8pm. I remember watching WNYW having Diff'rent Strokes/Facts of Life in the 5pm hour and WPIX having Charles in Charge/Happy Days.

I watched it too, in December of 06 on TV one-lol

AMEN looks a hell of a lot better on TVOne than it did on ION, which is why I look forward to watching it now.

I saw that they aired one of my fav episodes today, and I got home just as they were singing Amen at the end.
