Did Fran Tarkenton ever had a 3rd and 10 and the ball was hiked over his head and he had to run 30 yds backward to recover it and then turns around and avoids two defenders on his way running 40 yds back up the field to make the first down???

Now if romo was stop before making a first down I wuldn't even mentioned his great play. But it keep the drive alive and lead to a TD and was the turning point of the game

Was Romo's play astounding? Yes. Without question.

Is it the best ever? I can't say, just because of the volume of material you'd have to compare against to decide.

Just try and come up with great QB play you witnessed and we will see how it stands up to Romo's great play today

The sorry ass rams defense didn't hurt Romos chances either Where's Steve Sabol when you need him lol

It was an outstanding play. I couldn't believe it when it was happening. I don't know if it was the greatest of all time but it'll go down in Cowboys history as one of the best plays ever.

Romo's play is still better becaiuse he ran 30 yds back and 40 yds back up.

Not even close to the greatest play ever. It was smart to have picked it up, but from what I saw, he really only had to dodge one or two defenders to get to the first down. Steve Young's scramble was far better, and so are several Randall Cunningham highlights.

The only randall highlight that's close to what Romo did is when Randall was trapped in back of the endzone in buffalo and threw a 95 TD pass in december of 1990

Yep, that's another highlight that's more impressive. Can't seem to find a video of it anywhere, though.

Yea I agree especially since he did that when the game was on the line. Young was soo tired he barely got to the end zone.
