Does anbody know about the Taylor family tree? I am assuming that Aunt Bee was never married and was the sister of Andy's father since they both have the last name of Taylor. In the beginning it was revealed that Barney was Andy's cousin. I guess that would mean that Barney's mother was the sister of Aunt Bee and Andy's father. I thought that Barney called Bee "Aunt" out of affection since he was so close to the family. Apparently Bee really was Barney's aunt too.

In later episodes the "cousin" part was dropped and Andy and Barney were "childhood friends." :crazy:

I like the notion that they were cousins, rather than just friends.
