Solomon, the daughter had a much bigger role in seasons 2, 3 and 4. She was barely used in season 5 and not at all in season 6. She was crazy in season three...you need to watch that.

When we seen George Lopez in concert, before he introduced us to the cast of the show (minus the boy who played Max and the actress who played Carmen) he stated the actress playing Carmen is furthering her education and she wanted out of the show to which he obliged. He went on and on telling the us in the audience that kids need education, so forth and he was commenting on her achievements, such as the fact that she can speak three languages, was an author, etc. He then introduced us to the girl who was going to play his niece on the show.
