Real mature. While, I think it's important that the parents of the toddler learn a parenting technique to help make the child behave better, there is still no excuse for what that woman did. Shows real immaturity on her part.

and so just because he bit you, you have to retaliate by doing the same thing to him? yeah right. she should've told him off and slapped him on the wrist. WTF was she thinking?

[that's in reference to her stupidity, not the fact that the child is being taught to bite]

I hope she reads this post and sees that no one said, "Wow! That was truly a mature way to handle this situation! Kudos to her!" Everyone is calling her an immature brat. No one is saying "She showed that she was an adult by handling this situation on her own. She didn't need the parents to handle this!"

The child was only reacting to something that was obviously a scary situation. I know of no child who has enjoyed getting a shot or a needle inserted into their body.

Usually technicians, doctors, nurses, dentists, etc. are supposed to be equipped and ready for children who may be combative, scared, screaming, yelling, and yes, even biting. My step-daughter is a dental hygenist and one of the things she had to learn was how to deal with a disruptive or scared child. These are people who will deal with children in their respective fields and they must know how to deal with those circumstances when they arise.

That stupid technician should not be allowed to re-enter that field of work until she has dealt with this seriousness of what she did.

I would like to know what's going on with the adults of today?
If they find it hard to work with children, and/or to be just around them
then, don't have any and/or work with them at all. They have no patience.
