My mom saved the entertainment section of The Cleveland Press from the day I was born, and it has a full page ad of those same shows! (I was born on a Thursday night...and how did Mom know what a TV junkie I'd be that first day?)

The pictures are really neat...I'll have to dig out the paper and scan it here one of these days. I, too, wish I could've enjoyed the 1970s as they happened. As it was, I was only around for the last 3 months of the decade!!

Well, thank you:)

Ha, ha. It reminds me when I was super infatuated with Ron Glass. I had this picture of him (from his Barney Miller days) that I taped to one of my journals. And, I used to look at this picture, everyday...

Kinda of sickening, considering how old I was at the time..

Monika, I wish I could help you...HA, back in 2004. I wrote to Ron Glass. I think the letter was like, two or three pages long. Well, of course, he never wrote back..:(

Well, I'm not giving up - my philosophy is that there are no problems in life, just solutions. (Of course, the hard thing is FINDING the solutions!) I know that he's out there somewhere!

Hey, maybe, the next time I am in LA, I might run into him; and if that ever happens. Then, I am "definitely" going to be asking for his autograph...:)

I read that back in the 1960s, he sang in a band while stationed at the Randolph Air Force base in Texas. The band won top honors in the Tops In Blue competition. I would assume he is still in California somewhere. Here's where I read about the Air Force band:
