Ashley walked out to see Ricki working on her bike.
"What are you doing?" Ashley asked as she walked over to Ricki.
"What does it look like I'm doing" Ricki said as she picked up a wrench and did something to her bike. Ashley just walked in circles around Ricki and her bike. Ricki's eye's followed her, until she couldn't take it anymore. She stood up and got in Ashley's way. "Do you want something?"
"No..no..I'm just..looking" Ashley said, backing away from Ricki. Just then Blair came out the door and headed for her car.
"Where are you going, Mom" Ashley asked as she walked over to her.
"I just have a doctors appointment" Blair said as she opened the door to her car.
"Can you drive me to the mall, I'm so bored" Ashley complained to her mother.
"No, I'm sorry, I'm late. Why don't you ask Ricki to drive you on her bike" Blair said as she go into the car.
"I rather be bored" Ashley said as she went back inside and Blair left.

About an hour later, Blair came home, with a ghostly experssion on her face. But no one seemed to notice. Nat, Tootie, Mrs. G and Bev were in the kitchen, while Ricki, Ashley, Julia, Emily, and Jr were watching TV. No One even noticed she came in except Ashley.
"Hey Mom" She said, but not taking her eye's off the TV. When her mother didn't answer, AShley looked at her. She knew right away something was wrong. "Mom, Mom, whats wrong?" Ashley asked worried as she got stood up, and everyone else turned around.
"I...I have Cancer"

Ricki jumped over the couch and looked up madly at Blair.
"That's not funny" She said madly
"I don't think she's joking" Ashley said, as she shoved Ricki away from her mother.
"Don't push me!" Ricki said as she shoved Ashley back.
"Hey!" Ashley said as she shoved Ricki one more time.
"I said knock it off!" Ricki said as she shoved Ashley so hard she feel, right at Mrs. G's feet As her, Nat, Tootie, and Bev came out of the kitchen. Everyone just stared at Ricki, as she back up. Then she stopped, and walked over to Ashley. "I'm sorry" She said as she put her hand out to help Ashley up.
"I can do it myself!" Ashley said madly as she got up. Once she was up, she just stared madly at Ricki. Finally she stomped up the stairs, followed by Blair. When they were upstairs, Mrs. G walked over to Ricki who had her head down.
"What happened?" She asked as she put her hand on Ricki's shoulder and Ricki looked up.
"Blair...Bliar said she had cancer, and I thought she was playing a joke on me because mother's day is tomorrow" Ricki got all teary eyed and hugged Mrs. G. "I don't think she was joking now" Ricki said as Mrs. G looked at her.
"Oh my God" Tootie said as she walked over to Mrs. G and Ricki.
"Ah..Girls, why don't you go outside" Nat said to her daughter, Julia, and Tootie's daughter, Emily.
"OK" They both said as they left.


Upstairs, Blair walked into her old room to see Ashley laying on her bed.
"Are you ok?" She asked Ashley, as Ashley sat up.
"You have cancer?" Ashley asked, as her mother sat next to her on the bed.
"Yes, Breast Cancer, but it's not that bad." Blair said as looked at Ashley.
"Did't Jo die of Cancer?" Ashley asked scaredly.
"No..honey, Jo died of AIDS. They don't have treatmeant's for AIDS, but they do for cancer." Blair said as she had a little tear in her eye, thinking about her dead friend. "Hey, listen..." Blair stared as she got up and looked at Ashley. "Since tomorrow is mother's day, why don't we spend the day doing our favorite thing" Blair and Ashley looked into each other's eye's and smiled.
"Shopping!!" they both said at the same time. Ashley went over and hugged her mother. "So they have a treatmeant, and your going to live?" Ashely asked happily.
"Well...it's too soon to tell if the treatmeants will work, but hopefully they will" Blair said as she smiled and hugged Ashley tightly. "And...would you mind if we brought Ricki with us?"
"No! She has her own....." Ashley stopped herself before she said mother. Blair just shook her head.
"She has no one. Since her mother died and her father got remarried, she has no family." Blair smiled and kissed Ashley on the head. "You can think about it, ok?" Blair said as she smiled and left.

meanwhile, downstiars, Mrs.G, Jr, Tootie, Nat, and Bev where trying to convince Ricki that she should be happy.
"Tomorrow, everyone is going to be spending mother's day with their mothers. And if not their mothers, then their fathers or aunts or uncles. But who do I spend it with? NO ONE!" Ricki said as she sadly walked over to the couch.
"What are you talking about?" Jr asked. "What about me and my dad?"
"He's your dad, not mine. He's just my guardian." Ricki said as she wipped tears away from her face.
"Well me and Beverly are staying here tomorrow, you could stay here with us?" Mrs. G said as she sat next to Ricki. Ricki looked downand thought about it.
"Ok, but I'll just work on my bike, and stay out of your way." She said as she looked up.
"You don't have ...." Bev started
"No..I'm gonna stay out of your way" Ricki inturrupted.
"Ok..." Mrs G said, not wanting to argue.
"Well...look at the time" Nat said as she and Tootie got up in a hurry.
"We'll pick up Emily and Julia tomorrow at about 9, ok?" Tootie said as her and Nat headed towards the door.
"Ok..Bye" Mrs G said.
"Bye" They both said at the same time as they left.
"Well we better leave too" Jr said as he nugged Ricki and got up.
"Uh...do you mind if I stay here tonight?" Ricki asked Bev and Mrs.G as she got up.
"Sure..." Bev said as she smiled.
"That's a wonderful idea" MRs. G said.
"Ok...we'll see you tomorrow" Jr said as he kissed Ricki and and went to the door.
"Bye" Ricki said as she sat back down.

That night, at around 4 am, Ashley came down stairs. She looked at the couch and saw Ricki sleeping with her feet on the table. She went and sat next to her, and noticed her shoes wern't tied. Then she realized she had never seen Ricki with her shoes tied. She didn't think Ricki even knew how to tie her shoes..and thats when it hit her. What was she going to do If her mother died? Who was going to teach her everything she would need to know. In Ricki's case, how to tie shoes, but in her case, how to live life to the fullest. She got scared and didn't know what to do. So she ran upstairs, got dressed, and left.

The next morning at about 8, Blair came downstairs. She went all around as if she was looking for something. Then she noticed Ricki still sleeping on the couch.
"Ricki, Ricki, wake up" Blair said as she started to shake her hard and fast.
"Ok, ok" Ricki said as Blair stopped to shake her. "God...I think if you went down to the cematray, you could shake my mother alive" Ricki finished as she shook her head and streched her back.
"Do you know where Ashley is? I can't find her anywhere and we were supposed to go shopping?" Blair asked worried.
"Oh no, God forbid she miss that" Ricki said sarcastically.
"I'm serious" Blair said as she hit Ricki in the shoulder.
"We'll, I haven't seen her" Ricki said as she turned on the tv.
"This is horrible" A reporter on the tv started. "Earlier this morning, a motorcycle slid off the road. The bike was totalled, and the driver is in critical condition. The driver has been identified as Ashley Warner" Blairs mouth fell open as she slowly walked closer to the tv.
"That's...that's..." Blair started, but couldn't finish.
"MY BIKE!!!" Ricki yelled as she jumped up. "I hope she lives so I can kill her!" Ricki said as she started to run to the door. But she took a quick look at Blair, and knew she was going to faint. So Ricki quickly ran back over just in time to catch her. "You need to loose a few pounds....of makeup" Ricki said as he dragged her on to the couch.
"Again...the bike was Totalled, and the driver, Ashley Warner, is in critical condition" The reporter finished. The anger in Ricki's eyes turned to tears as she realized this was serious.Just then she heard the phone ring. She knew it was the cops calling to tell Blair what had happened, so Ricki just let it ring and she ran to the hospital.

When Ricki got there, she ran right up to the counter.
"I'm looking for my friend Ashley Warner. She was in the motorcycle accident.....with my bike" Ricki told the lady.
"I'm sorry. Family members only" The lady said, as she looked at her computer.
"Uh..She's....my sister" Ricki said, as the lady just looked at her. "I called her my friend cause we're close." she added, not knowing what she was saying.
"Ok..room 243 next floor" She said, as Ricki ran to the room. When Ricki got there, all she could hear where the beeps and noises from the mechiens (sp). Ricki walked over to Ashley, who was bruised up pretty bad.
"Hey" Ricki said, as Ashley opened her eyes.
"Hi.." Ashley said as she squinted her eyes in pain. "I'm ...sorry about your bike" Ricki groaned and walked closer to Ashley. It's alright....Just a couple of thousand dollars in damage" Ricki said sadly "But it's ok...I'll have plenty of time to kill you in the future" Ricki laughed, and sat on Ashley's bed. "Your mother's going to be ok, you know" Ricki told Ashley "I know what it's like to think your going to loose your mother. I did. But you won't" Ricki reassured Ashley as she sat on her bed. Ashley looked at Ricki and smiled.
"Tie your shoes" Ashley challenged Ricki.
"What?"Ricki asked, not knowing if she was serious.
"Tie your shoes" Ashley repeated, very serios. Ricki looked down at her shoes, and then back up at Ashley.
"Is there a point to this?" She asked confused.
"Just do it.." Ashley yelled, but it wasn't loud. Ricki jumped off the bed, and kneelt down to tie her shoes. When she was done, she stood back up and showed them to Ashley.
"Ok?" Ricki questioned
"Yes" Ashley said as she smiled. She new her mother was going to be ok now. "My mother will....will be o..o..." Before AShley could finish, she started having a sezier. She started shaking like crazy. Ricki jumped back, and then watched scared for a second. Finally she ran out of the room. She saw a doctor and ran to him.
"Help..my friend..." Ricki said as she pointed to the room. Beofre she could finish, the doctor ran into the room followed by some nurses. They shut the door behind them, so Ricki had no idea what was going on. She went to the waiting room and sat down. She held her knees to her chest and tried not to cry. "I know your mother will be ok, but what about you?" Ricki said quietly to herself......

Mean while, at the house, Natalie and Tootie knocked on the door. When no one answered, they just walked in.
"Hello?" Nat asked as she looked around.
"Oh my God!" Tootie said as she saw Blair on the couch. Nat and Tootie ran over to her.
"We have to wake her" Nat said as she looked for something to wake her with.
"It's ok, I'm awake" Blair said as she Sat up. "Where's Ashley?" Blair asked as she stood up.
"What are you talking about." Tootie asked.
"Ashley took Ricki's bike and it slid off the road" Blair said as she painiced and ran for her jacket.
"Oh my God, that was Ashley" Nat said as she walked over to Blair.
"Yes! I have to go to the hospital. Stay here and wait for Mrs. Garret and Bev to wake up. Don't forget your daughters are upstairs." Blair said in one breath, as she left and drove to the hospital. When she got there, Ricki saw her.
"Mrs. Warner" Ricki said as she got up and walked over to her.
"Where's Ashley, how is she?" Blair asked, very worried. Ricki put her head down.
"She had a sezier and they've been in there for a half hour." Ricki said. Blair put her head down to. Just then the doctor came out and looked at Blair sadly.
"Mrs. Warner?"....

Blair turned around to see the doctors sad face.
"Oh my God...she's gone" Blair said as she fell on the chair and started crying. "My little girl, my minuture me, my baby, she's gone" Blair cried and cried. The doctor walked over to her and kneeled down.
"Uh...Ms, your daughters not dead" He said, as Blair looked at him. Blair sighed.
"Oh thank god!! She yelled as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"But..she is temperarally paralized." The doctor added as he stood up.
"What?" Ricki asked as she stood up and looked at the doctor frimly. "What to you mean?"
"I mean that she is paralized from the waste down, but it is only temporary." He said.
"And how long is temporary?" Blair asked as she stood up too.
"We're not sure. It can be as short as 2 weeks, to as long as 2 years" Blair fell back on the chair.
"Oh my god" She said.
"I'll leave you alone now. But Ashley is sleeping and I would not suggest waking her" The doctor said, as he walked away.
"This is all my fault" Blair said, as she put her hands to her face.
"No, no it isn't. You didn't do anything" Ricki comforted, as she kneeled down and hugged Blair.
"Yes it is. I..I shouldn't have told her. I should have waiting longer to tell her I had cancer. Like your mother did" Blair said, as she let go of Ricki, and looked at her.
"No, you shouldn't have. Just because my mother waited to tell my a month before she was going to die, doesn't mean you should have. And you probably won't even die, so there's nothing to worry about" Ricki comforted. Blair looked at her and smiled.
"Your mother was one hell of a woman" Blair said as she looked at Ricki.
"Ya" Ricki said as she looked at the floor. "Most of the time" She muttered under her breath.
"Whats that supposed to mean?" Blair asked, surprised at what Ricki said.
"Uh...nothing, nothing" Ricki said nervously.
"You can tell me" Blair said as she patted Ricki on the back. Ricki looked up at Blair sadly.
"No..no I can't" She said as she stood up. "I gotta go. I'll see you at home" Ricki said as she ran away fast.


When she got home, everyone was on the couch, waiting.
"How is she, whats wrong?" Nat asked, as she jumped up when Ricki came through the door.
"She's fine. She's temporarally paralized from the waste down, but she'll get better." Ricki answered, as she walked over to everyone.
"Oh, thank god. Now we can go out" Tootie said as she got up. "C'mon Nat, we'll take Julia and Emily to a movie for mothers day" She finished, as Nat, Julia, and Emily got up and walked towards the door.
"We'll see you guys later" They said, as all four of them left.
"Is Blair ok?" Mrs. G asked, as Ricki went over to sit next to her and Bev on the couch.
"Ya, Blairs fine" Ricki answered.
"We'll come on Edna, we'll go fix Ricki something to eat" Bev said as she got up.
"Ok" Mrs. G said, as her and Bev went into the kitchen. When Ricki was sure they were gone, she reached into her coat pocket and pulled out some ciggerets. She took one out, put it in her mouth, took out a lighter, and lit it...

Ricki took a deep breath, and then let it out. She sighed and leaned back on the couch, the ciggerate still in her hand. Just then Mrs.Garret came in. She didn't say anything so Ricki had no idea she was their. Mrs.Garret walked over to the couch and watched as Ricki took another puff of her ciggerate.
"Now what would your mother say?" Mrs.G asked, as she walked infront of Ricki. Ricki jumped a little, but then sat up straight.
"Depends" Ricki said, as she took another puff.
"What's that supposed to mean? I know your mother and your mother wouldn't like that" Mrs.Garret said, as she sat next to Ricki.
"No..you knew my mother" Ricki corrected. "She changed a whole lot since she left you."
"Yes, but what would your mother do if she saw you with that?" Mrs Garret asked
"Like I said. It depends. If she was like she usually was, she would probaby take it out of my mouth and tell me never to do it again. But if she was drunk, she probably would grab it from me and burn me with it." Ricki said as she showed Mrs.G a burn scar she had.
"Your mother did that?" Mrs G asked, surprised
"No, I did that by accident, but that's probably what it would look like" Ricki said. Mrs G sighed for relief, and then looked at Ricki.
"Your mother drank" she asked, again surprised.
"Every other night. And it wouldn't have mattered if she was the kind of person who when they get drunk they laugh and play, and act stupid. But she wasn't" Ricki said as she got up and turned around to look at Mrs. G. "But nope...when she got drunk she hit me and slapped me and bruised me up pretty bad." Ricki said, as she lifted up her sleeve to show Mrs.G a scar from her shoulder to a little above her elbow.
"Oh my god" Mrs Garret said as she looked at the huge scar. "What happened?"
"Well, one night she came home drunk, and I was supposed to clean the table, but I forgot because I was doing my Homework. So she grabbed me and threw me into the table. It sliced my arm open.." Ricki said as her eye's got tear from the memory...

ok..i have to go to a softball game...but i'll write more when I come back

Sorry I havent written for a while, but i got a lab top and i've been trying to install the internet, but I can't cuz it don't have a phone line....i'm gonna work on this for a while, but i'll write more today sometime.

Ok, I'm on my lab top and it's really cool! But now I can write more so here you go:

"Oh..I never knew." Mrs G said, as she looked closly at the scar. "But I don't understand? I thought you and your mother were close...like Blair and Ashley"
"We were. We were closer then she was with my grandmother" Ricki said, as she wipped a tear from her eye. "She never remembered when she was drunk...so she has no idea what she did to me. So i just pretened like nothing happened, and that's why we were so close"...Just then Blair came in slowly and sadly.
"Hey Blair, how's Ashley?" Mrs. G asked, as she stood up and her and Ricki walked over to Blair.
"See for yourself" Blair said sadly, as she moved aside and Ashley wheeled herself in. Ricki quckily put held her hands behind her with the ciggaret so Blair wouldn't see.
"Hey Ashley, would you like anything? Beverly is making breakfast now" Mrs G asked as she walked over to her.
"Yes..thank you" She answered acting happy, but really sad" Blair started to smell the smoke as she closed the door.
"Do you smell that?" Blair asked as she looked around. "It smells like smoke" Mrs G took the ciggaret from Ricki, and held it in her hand.
"I'm sorry, would you like me to go outside?" MRs G asked, trying to cover for Ricki like she once did for Blair.
"Mrs.Garret...I know you better then that. You did that for me when I was young, but I'm not falling for it." Blair said, as she looked angerly at Ricki. "What is this?" She asked, as she took the ciggaret from Mrs G and shoved it in Ricki's face.
"Mom, back off" Ashley said, as she wheeled herself over to the couch. "Give her a break, her mother died a little while ago" Ricki looked at AShley surprised that she stood up for her.
"I'm sorry, but I can't" Blair said "Ricki, go upstairs to your...i mean my...I mean Ashley's room and I'll deal with you later" Blair said, as Ricki madly stomped up the stairs. When she got their...she looked out the window.
"I can climb down that..." Ricki said, as she opened the window and started to clim out....


ok so what do you think? I know It's getting kinda boring...but I have a block...it should get better.

When Ricki got to the ground, she saw Blair on the front steps crying. Blair didn't notice her, and she started sneak away, but then felt bad. She walked over to Blair, and sat down next to her. Without even looking, Blair grabbed her and hugged her close. At first Ricki did nothing, but then she slowly patted Blair on the back. Finally Blair let go of Ricki and looked at her.
"I'm sorry for sending you to my room" She said as she wipped her tears away.
"Thats ok" Ricki said "I deserved it. I know I shouldn't smoke, but I couldn't take my mother's...." Before she could finish, she realized Blair didn't know and had a good image of Jo. So Ricki tried to think of something good to say.
"Your mother's what?" Blair asked, curious.
"Uh...my mother's...dying" Ricki finally thought of. "It just hurt me so bad, and my friends told me it would make my problems go away. But it didn't. It just added to my list of problems" Ricki covered as she looked at the ground, thinking of the scar she had on her arm. She expected Blair to be mad at her, but when Ricki looked up at her, Blair was smiling. Ricki looked at her confused until Blair finally said something.
"I know. I used to smoke. And Mrs. Garret covered for me, just like she did for you. That's how I knew it was you." Blair said, still smiling. Ricki smilied, and then looked away.
"Why were you crying?" Ricki asked, as she turned back to Blair.
"Ashley may have to spend 2 years in a wheelchair because of me" She said as her smile faded and she looked at the ground.
"No, not becauswe of you. It's not your fault you have cancer. Did you ask for it?" Ricki said, trying to cheer Blair up.
"Uh..." Blair didn't know how to answer the question.
"I didn't think so. So stop worring about it" Ricki said, as she again patted Blair on the back. "Besides, the doctor said it could also be as little as two weeks she spends in the wheelchair" Ricki added, "And then she'll be back to her old, annoying, self" Ricki and Blair laughed a little.
"Thank you" Blair said as she hugged Ricki.
"Your not that bad"
"You ain't either" Ricki said as she laughed, and the two got up and went inside.


THE END...ok i know it wasn't my best fanfic...it was prob my worst...but i'll try and make a better one.

I thought it was really good. I'm going to copy this one and put it with my fanfic collection.
