I'm pretty sure he owned 4 (possibly 5 stores) in the beginning of the show. He bought 1 in season 2, 1 in season 3, 1 in the season 4 opener, and I'm not sure what else from then on.

I don't think it would be more than 10 stores . . . I want to say 9 stores, but I wasn't sure.

He stopped at 7- forget which episodes but there are later ones where he says that he has 7. Louise Suspects seems to be the last episode in which he opens another store. The Grand Opening in year 4 was the opening of a plush office suite not another store (I thought it was another store opening from all the fuss, but I suppose the writers figured 7 stores was enough)

In the season 4 episode "George's Work" (I believe that's the name) he mentiones he has 7 stores, and does not plan on opening another one for awhile, with Louise tired of all the work he's doing. So, the seventh store is probably the last one he opens.

In the season 2 episode about Lionel getting drunk on his graduation, George mentions he has 6 stores. When did one burn down, and did he get anymore after that? I believe he got another one in season 3 . . .

The reason I question you is that I am watching season 6, and he states in the bank on the episode where George secretly cosigns on Lionel's loan that he has 7 stores. It seems odd that he does not add any more in the next 5 seasons. I personally recall him saying NINE at some point later on.

Are you implicating George as too lazy to open any more stores after season 6?
