I figured that since our seasons are all done - and barring a special release (That I would buy, Sony!) of all seasons in one package, we could discuss and answer questions posed in the DVDs, or any questions that other fans may have.

I'll start.

It was asked "What program is that seen on the computers on everybody's desk; it looks like a menu?"

Paul Simms answered "That was Windows. Everyone was addicted to solitare."

This is true for the later seasons. For Season 1/2, at least, the menu system you saw on the screen was none other than "Direct Access 5", a DOS based menu program used to launch other programs. It was kind of a text-based 'start menu'. You can see a really grainy B&W picture of it In this copy of Compute from 1989 (http://www.atarimagazines.com/compute/issue113/p76_A_NEW_FACE_ON_DOS.php).

We might as well extend this to the 'what about?' questions, too:

What about the time the cast was on the Donnie & Marie show? (I have this)
Where's the Pop-Up video version? (I have this)
What were the first three versions of the song before Mark Post?
Where is the rest of the NBC commentaries for the making of from Season 1?

The good news is that I have a backup of D&M and Pop-Up. If my DVD+R backup from 2001 still works when I visit my folks in January, I'll do my best to encode it and offer it - somehow.

Bad news. SpinTheBottle, the creators of Pop-Up Video, have given me their blessing, but they are not the current rights holders; evidently Viacom is still showing 10 year old reruns, and as they've sued YouTube for clips of shows, I'm afraid that I can't share it. Sorry. :(
