What do you think was the best Gilmore Girls cliffhanger(s)?

To me, the most shocking ones were:

1. Rory dropping out of Yale, moving in with her grandparents, and not talking to her mother! (Season 5)

2. Rory sleeping with Dean, a married man! (Season 4)

3. Lorelai's big question, after the fallout with Rory: "Luke, will you marry me?" (Season 5)

I dont consider Rory sleeping with Dean a cliffhanger, but how Rory moved in with Emily and Richard at the end of 5 and Lorelai proposing to Luke at the end as well are defiantly cliffhangers

Sure did....it was implied that Lorelai and Luke get back together I guess, but I wanted to see where it went! Therefore, it's a cliffhanger.

Of course, when I posted that originally, I had just had a seasons 6 and 7 marathon, watching those episodes for the first time, so I may have been slightly biased.........

The season 5 cliffhanger would be a very close 2nd, though.

best cliffhanger was the end of season 5 when rory dropped out of yale and moved in with her grandparents and lorelai proposed to luke. best one ever, but it sucked waiting all summer for it to come back. lol.
