Gary sold the house in Beverly Hills, moved to Palm Springs where he married his young girlfriend, Palm Springs golf pro Susie McCallister, and presumably played golf until he died of lung cancer in 1999.

I remember him talking about her on Joan Rivers' talk show back around '91 or '92, but according to imdb.com, they didn't get married until 1996.

I've seen various dates reported for his year of birth: 1922, 1924 and 1926. So he was somewhere between 11 and 15 years younger than Lucy. I don't remember who bought the Beverly Hills home, but it wasn't anyone famous. They gutted the place and completely redid it, inside and out. So it doesn't even look like the same house anymore.
