View Full Version : Boyfriend's Mother
80s_Fan 09-22-2007, 08:13 AM Well, now my boyfriend's mother is in the hospital and it's not looking good.
She suffered a massive stroke that has affected her right hand side.
His father called him this morning about two hours ago and told him.
Now, my boyfriend is at the hospital and his father stayed home but,
a close friend of the family will be going by the house to check on him.
For now, it's not looking good and uptil now there have been some signs
from what my b/f has told me but, the problem with his mother is that
she's very stubborn like most people and don't want to go to a hospital
period. So, now it's caught up to her and she's in a critical state.
If there are any more complications; she could die, on the other hand,
if she does come out of it, she will most likely be placed in a home for
people who have suffered a stroke.
Please, say a prayer for my b/f and his family because they have been
through so much since his oldest brother passed away on Aug. 26, 2005.
Even, way before that; there were problems with his father's health.
swedeace 09-22-2007, 04:40 PM Aw, I'm sorry to hear about your boyfriend's mom. I will keep her in my thoughts.

80s_Fan 09-23-2007, 03:04 PM Well, she's been transferred to the 4th floor (Cardiology) and she's still not responding. We went by today before lunch, me along with my b/f and his father and not once did she open her eyes. It's really not looking good.
I'm starting to think that she will die very soon but, I could be wrong.
We will have to wait and see. I will keep you all posted as I find out more.
Thanx for all your support and concern; it means a lot to me and his family.
Janice 09-23-2007, 04:21 PM My prayers for you, your boyfriend, his mother and all their loved ones. My father suffered a terrible stroke, so I know how terrible they can be. The road to recovery is a long one.
80s_Fan 09-24-2007, 08:49 PM Well, she's not going to make it; it will be anytime now. There's a very slim chance that she will come out of it, and even if she does; she will no longer be the same. She will be in a vegetative state which is not a way to live.

80s_Fan 09-26-2007, 11:04 AM Well, any day now; she will pass on. Now, her kidneys are failing so, it's just a matter of time.
I just hope and pray that his father will be ok and that this doesn't kill him.

Scoobiedoo30 09-26-2007, 11:44 AM I have been praying every night they she would cout out of this
80s_Fan 09-27-2007, 03:19 PM Not only is my b/f losing his mother right now but, my other friend is losing her mother. Both of them; any day now, and it's just too much to deal with.
I spoke to a counsellor the other day, and I will be seeing him again tomorrow because I really need to speak to someone other than my b/f, family, and/or friends.
I'm still able to function in school, and outside of school but, I'm finding it hard not to mention that it's draining me emotionally.
Thanks for all of your support, and concern thru this really hard time.
:(
80s_Fan 09-28-2007, 08:18 AM I've decided to drop out of school right now because it's just too much for me to handle all at once. I'm here right now at school, waiting to speak to someone about dropping out. If I can't, then I will complete this semester but, not come back for the winter one, etc...
I will continue to work because I need money to keep coming in but, eventually if it gets really bad, then I will have to drop that too. Right now, it's school only, and we will see what will happen.
I will keep you all posted as to how I am doing, and everything.
Once again, thanx for all of your support and concern.
:(
80s_Fan 09-28-2007, 08:32 PM She passed away this morning between 8:00 - 8:30, and I am no longer going to school because it's just too much right now. I will continue working, but that's it. If I should decide to go back to school whether the same one or another, then I will, but much later.
Thanks again for your support and concern; I really appreciate it. :(
