Was there a "filmed" version of the Facts of Life?

For years I remember it as being a show that was videotaped. The DVDs I have of the show looked like it was taped to me. I don't mean the Facts of Life movie the cast did later on but the show itself.

Reason I ask, yesterday I saw a rerun of Facts that is airing on cable in Denver, Colorado. Facts of Life is available on the Comcast "on Demand" service alongside Soap, Diff'rent Strokes, Square Pegs, Whats Happening, Bewtiched ( the B/W ones ) and I Dream of Jeannie.

Yet the Denver "Facts of Life" looked like it was filmed. I don't get it.

I called up Comcast about this and of course they had no idea what I was talkig about.

okay, your kinda confusing me, do you mean filmed like w/ a live studio audience or taped. if so I always thought it was taped then you would hear people laughing (I'm sure they have machines that do that but still. I always thought it was taped

I am in NW Indiana and Comcast seems to be doing this everywhere.
Comcast is airing the episode in filmlook, which is a process that edits out every other frame and this gives the videotape a distorted look that mimics film. Facts of Life was always shot on video, except the movies which were on film. None of the episodes were ever shown in filmlook in their original NBC run and in syndication.
All My Children has been doing this(and most viewers hate it!)since July,2006 and the Disney channel sitcoms Hannah Montana,That's So Raven,Suite Life of Zack and Cody and That's So Raven are shot on video and processed in filmlook the same way.
Who's The Boss is shown the same way on Comcast.
