Wholesome former The Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick is set to reveal the beloved 70s TV series' most shocking secret in a new book - she and her on-screen sister had a lesbian fling.

McCormick's tell-all, "Here's The Story," won't hit bookstores until 2008, but publishers are already buzzing about the big reveal.

As well as talking candidly about her well-documented eating disorder and drug problems in the book, TV's Marcia Brady will come clean about a romance she had with co-star Eve Plumb, who played her sister Jan on the hit show.

A source says, "The most explosive comments will be how the then-blonde, blue-eyed cutie developed a crush on Eve Plumb, which led to some sexual play. This book will certainly come as a shocker. While Maureen is not a lesbian, she reveals there were some sexual hijinks going on behind the scenes. It's bizarre because she played such a virginal character on the show."

 When I read the title of the thread, I assumed it was Peter, Bobby or Greg who had a fling with their "tv sister", certainly didn't expect this!!!

Didn't Maureen also have a fling with Barry Williams!? When the six "kids" went on record saying how close they all were - they weren't kidding!!!

If I remember correctly, Eve Plumb also had a fling with Chris Knight. This was the OC of the 1970s!!

You just know publicity-shy Eve is going to be thrilled about this "revelation." I'm betting this is some small thing that Maureen is blowing up to sell her book (similar the way Barry played up his "date" with Florence).

It is no secret that young girls tend to "play with each other" as a way of exploring their bodies, etc. but it can't be construed as "lesbianism" in any way. Young children do play "doctor" and other innocent games, whether it is with the same sex or the opposite sex.

However, I am not sure what age Maureen is referring to. Is she saying this occurred as pre-teens or when they were older?

I've heard about this before. But with this new book, Marcia is going to be revealed as a bulimic and an "experimenter" if you know what I mean...and yeah overall this book will be the real true Bradys!

Hey, with this book coming out, she may just make a re-appearance on Dr. Phil (like she did back in May) to help sell this book.

Maybe Eve will show up with her. I'd watch. :D

Wow, this is definitely surprising. I can't believe Maureen would actually admit that in her book. I mean, if they were preadolescents, and just "playing with each other" as Irene put it, then what is there to tell really? I'm sure it was when they were older.

I'll bet you this book will be a top seller, right on up there with "Roseanne Barr's Guide to Sex"-

I know a few people on this board (me included) have seen Eve Plumb in the Irwin Allen TV flick The Night the Bridge Fell Down. (Ironically, this flick co-starred Desi Arnaz Jr., who Marcia had the big crush on!) Eve played a novice nun!! I will never look at that movie quite the same way again!!

Yep, I remember seeing or reading somewhere that they mostly all paired off boy to girl at some point...Maureen and Barry, Eve and Chris, and even Mike and Susan. Then Maureen had said she had a "crush" on all three of the boys at one point or another in the show. So that leaves everyone but "Cindy?" Man, that "Marcia" really got around!

Anyone who can take an educated guess at this situation, "please" get back to me!

Ann B. Davis? She is not the topic of this thread. What female on this thread are you referring to?

Anyhoo, if you look at the new thread here on the BB forum you will see that the publisher of this tell-all book states there is no such revelation abt Maureen and Eve whatsoever having a sexual affair.

Actually, I made a mistake. The female that I was thinking of was "Madame X" If you go up a few spaces, you will see her. However, she is the one who jokinging said that Robert Reed only pretended to be gay to hide his affair with Ann B. Davis. It was the person who responded to her who said that that would be hard to believe because, in addition to Robert being gay, Ann was a lesbien! I have no way of knowing whether the poster who responded to "Madame X" was a male or a female. Another thing that I have no way of knowing is whether this poster was simply putting a joke on top of a joke of if there really is data that Ann swings from the other side. Please help me out on this if you can!

Oh I see. Well Madame X is a wonderful poster who is very very funny. It is obvious she is only kidding. Responding to her is Mikey who also decided to take Madame X's joke a step further. It turned out to be a funny thread overall.

My response about Robert Reed and Ann B. Davis was made in jest. I was going to say "just kidding," but I thought by adding a " ;) " we would all understand it was a joke.

I am sorry to start a rumor about Bob and Ann. I thought the people on this board were somewhat sophisticated and had a sense of humor, but now I see when it comes to anything about Brady scandals, people will take it seriously.:(

Hi Smartboy, I'm all guy! Anyway, My response to Madame X was partly a joke...however, Robert Reed was indeed gay, and Ann B Davis IS a lesbian..You can check that on any "gay actors list" website!

Youre right, its no big deal, but, if you read back a bit, youll see that it all started out as a joke by Madame X claiming that Robert Reed and Ann B Davis were having an affair during the filming of the show, and me pointing out that it was highly unlikely , because of their sexual preferences ( both gay )...........which led to someone getting confused about what was a joke and what wasnt, so, I was just trying to clear things up.
