View Full Version : Paris At Last!
Madame X 09-20-2007, 03:43 PM One of my favorite episodes was just on, "Paris at Last." It is a great story with several classic moments. One of my all-time favorite scenes was when Lucy was in the Bastille and her statement had to be placed through a chain of translators: English to Spanish, Spanish to German and German to French and back and forth. They had to find actors that could speak two languages and act!

Ireneparalegal 09-20-2007, 05:58 PM I am so amazed at the clarity of those pics. I missed Paris At Last this morning. I had to leave to run errands. I do love that scene where Lucy has to translate to Ricky, who in turns translates to the man who speaks spanish and german and so forth.
Note, in that Lucy book of ours, it states that wine bottle on the table there, is actually a CALIFORNIA WINE.

Oh, the French go for imported rather than domestic?

It's hard to tell from this picture, but the wine is Paul Masson!

Wait! Hold on! I am BBQ-ing right now (perfect weather on the Oregon coast), so I will fling a snail on the barby to see what happens. My guess it will sizzle and stink. Maybe that's why Charles Boyer had that look on his face that Lucy described, like walking into the Grand Ballroom and smellimg cauliflower cooking! Maybe it really was the stank of snails cooking!

Oh yes.
I had to get a permit from our small coast side town to use salt. They burn a cross on somebody's lawn if they use table salt rather than sea salt. OMG, I have to run... there is a fire on my front lawn... omg:
