I think that the Macrovision security kicks in when you try to do that, I think you will notice that if you even if you hook your dvd player up to output through your VCR - even just to view it on your TV - it makes the brightness pulse to prevent you from copying it, and making it very annoying to even watch it. there are better ways to back up dvd's, but that sort of topic isn't really allowed on this site. dsforever 09-20-2007, 12:37 PM thanks.i was trying to make a copy of my sisters wedding video..i wasnt aware that it was against rules to ask that kind of question:wave:  robyrob 09-20-2007, 01:36 PM thanks.i was trying to make a copy of my sisters wedding video..i wasnt aware that it was against rules to ask that kind of question:wave:  well, if its anything to do with copying copyrighted dvds then its definitely not OK if this is a home-made dvd, it shouldn't have any protection on it, and you should be able to hook up the output from the back of your DVD player into an input on the VCR and you'll be good to go |
