Did anyone watch the Tribute To Elvis show Tuesday night on ABC? They had different singers paying tribute to him along with footage of his concerts and movies. And they also interviewed Priscilla and some other people. It was pretty good. Paul McCartney, Toby Keith, Faith Hill and many others were on the show.

I watched the special last night. Very well done, and I enjoyed seeing all the old footage, especially of Elvis' triumphant return to Las Vegas. Just proves that over thirty years since his death, the King is just as culturally significant today as he was when he was alive.

I taped it to watch later and have just skimmed through parts of it. I'm not a big fan of other singers doing covers of Elvis' famous songs but it wasn't too bad to watch. This is the 3rd or 4th time this type of special has been done on Elvis - Billy Ray Cyrus hosted one, Wynonna Judd hosted one and some others I can't recall off-hand. My favorite part is always the footage of Elvis singing :)

^ I also like the footage they show of Elvis. Faith Hill did a pretty decent job of singing his songs.

The archive and interview footage was great, the covers? The worst things I've ever heard. The HORRIBLE countrified version of Suspicious Minds made me violent, awful awful awful. Neo-Country stars should not touch good songs.

Chris Isaak song was decent...that's about it. 50 Cent and beyonce are also probably the least qualified peopel to comment on anything. They made some of the dumbest remarks in that whole episode.
