I don't recall any mention of Lucy's or Ricky's fathers.

The only father mentioned on ILL was Ethel's father. And we saw him in the episode where the fab four visit New Mexico on their way to Hollywood.

Ricky mentioned his father in "Never Do Business With Friends." He tells Lucy, Fred and Ethel that his father told him many years ago to never do business with friends or relatives.


I wonder if Lucille Ball decided not to have a father on the show because her own mother was so prominent in her life. Her father died when she was a child.

That might be why then with lucy losing her father and her being young when it happened, i didnt know that.

Ricky and Lucy visit Ricky's dad in Cuba. Lucy mistakenly called him a pig in spanish, LOL. Or was that his Uncle?

That was Uncle Alberto. I always thought it was strange that none of Ricky's five brothers showed up during the visit.

Yes, that's right! Ricky does mention his father and the sayings he used to have.
